First of all I don't care what they make.I care about sports.I like stats.Stats are numbers.Money is numbers there must be a number fight first and the person who calls himself money will probably win that fight and that counts as part of the psychological attack Mayweather likes to launch on his opponents. If I have to explain that then you guys are ******s!Just understand That round one is already going to Mayweather, especially if you remember to score the 'dirty or not dirty'sneak attack.Ali started it Floyd is running with it.You guys are oblivious to it.Manny is pushing back on him and I am laughing at it all knowing it will contribute to rounds one and two in the ring. There will be nerves and electricity and possibly anger in that ring in the first few rounds. The purse splitting contributes to it all so it is significant. You guys don't observe the sport with a large enough eye,let alone a sophisticated enough eye.I bet you would watch a knife fight if they put it on t.v..

Anyone that doesn't want to see the fight get made if Mayweather doesn't get the lion's share must be a fan of Floyd more than boxing itself.:yep

I actually like both fighters and don't care who wins, I just want to see the damn thing. A fight like this wont come around again for a while.

You're an idiot.....:roll: Manny even with a 50/50 spilt will not make the same amount of money that Floyd will "TAKE HOME" based purely on the contracts that both men have with regards to their promoters and team. Floyd keeps most of his money b/c he's not really with a promoter.....he is paying Golden boy a portion of his check b/c they are co-promoting with him but 50/50 is more than fair given the fact that Floyd can't make that money WITHOUT Manny...and Manny can't make that kind of money with out Floyd. Hence....they need one anther.

    Dumb!

Why would PBF agree to a 50/50 split when Manny Druguiao can't agree to OSDT without a window?

All roads lead through Floyd Mayweather.

my sentiments exactly. these guys are negotiating long enough not to make this fight this time around. of course it's human nature to argue for your own fighter but at the end of the day, we would demand to see this fight than not to see it at all.

and people should realize what you posted in bold. i am more of a pac fan but would rather see pac retires if it is not floyd he is facing in his last fight.

That sounds even more "cornball esque" than when Floyd says it. The testing isn't an issue...the split is. Which I called 5 or 6 months ago when I thought the initial negotiations would fall apart.

Why not? His legacy is secure, he is in the mix with the greatest fighters in the last 30 years. If this fight doesn't get made Pac can retire with dignity, but if he were to win this fight, It would increase his legacy even more, if he were to lose, he would stay right where he is at, it would not hurt his legacy at all losing to Mayweather in my opinion. The Mayweather fight makes complete sense for Pac, and although I like to watch him and think he would still be a threat to anyone around his size, If he cant make a deal with Floyd, I would not have a problem with him hanging them up.

Floyd can't keep on pushing for more demands though because he knows that Manny can walk away from this fight. Sure he can ask for a bit more in terms of money but he should be careful if he wants this fight to happen.

For the record, I think both fighters want this fight to happen. I however think that Floyd wants this more because of the money and a quick way of enhancing his legacy. Manny wants this fight too but he doesn't need the money (at least not as much as Floyd wants it) and he thinks that his legacy is secured with or without Floyd on his resume.
