I don't mean that he would replicate his gameplan to a T you moron, but he would clearly be the faster and more nimble of the two in there. And a result(if he wasn't having problems pulling trigger) he'd have a good shot at winning. I mean you're probably right, lasting 4 rounds against that version of Foreman is impossible. Only ATG like Steward and Martin were able to.
He isn't nimble on the back foot. He CAN'T box off the back foot . At all. Wlad would have to turn into somebody he isn't and box a gameplan he isn't capable of to win. You essentially defeated your own self with that argument. Wlad would not trade punches with Povetkin , Pulev , Jennings and Fury. He ran away from Fury with his hands clutching the back of his head. To think he beats Foreman head on is one the worst case of fanboi driven delusions ive ever heard.
My argument was that if he was still throwing his punches with the authority he had a couple of years ago that he would have had a good chance. You seem to have deluded yourself into thinking that it's a given that Wlad would just keel over early like most of the journeyman Foreman beat on his comeback. Doesn't matter if he fought on the backfoot or not. He's still the quicker and more nimble of the two, and Foreman would have to work to land the right hand. Wlad wasn't throwing with any sort of authority against Jennings or Fury - and that's why I would pick 40 year old Foreman to beat him. Probably wouldn't be as easy as you would like to think though.
Wlad was still a heavy clincher years ago. Hit n grab is his entire game. Statistics indicate he spends far to much time in the wheel house implementing his fight. Nobody is beating Foreman in the wheel house - not Holy , not Frazier and certainty not Wlad who has a glass chin. Cus D'mato said Foreman flattens anybody in front of him. This is why Tyson wanted no part of him. He couldn't suddenly turn in a defensive performance on the back foot and neither could Wlad. Wlad doesn't beat ATG's . Against who did he ever prove he could?
Wlad: Better jab, better speed, better power, better footwork, better technique, better conditioning Foreman: Better chin Yeah, that's going to work.
How many punches did Fat George land on Axel Schulz? Dozens, non had any effect. Wlad manhandled Schulz and dropped him 3 times.
Apparently at home Wlad puts a sticking plaster over his china chin in case he bumps it and it shatters. There are special red buttons on every wall to call emergency paramedics after that one time that Hayden slammed a door and his chin plumb fell off.
This thread says a 40 year old Foreman against a 40 year old Wlad. When George fought Schultz he was 46 years old and fading fast. When Wlad fought Schultz he was in his mid 20s. So your analogy is totally unsound. Although, I suppose a Wlad decision is not out of the question, the Foreman that wrecked Cooney (at 40) and fought competitively with a prime Holyfield a year or two later would most likely destroy the Wlad who had trouble with Jennings and lost to Tyson Fury. My prediction, Big George KO 3 Wlad.
Pretty much. Old George had a Prime Evander Holyfield on the back foot for basically the whole fight.
My prediction is Jennings would give Old George no end of trouble and Fury would befuddle him worse than calculus. Fury put on a masterclass against Wlad, he'd do even better against a slower, fatter, more lethargic opponent.
