what happens in a 40 yr old george foreman vs adamek...........honestly i think foreman stops adamek in 6 or 7 rds.........with the jab....puffy face.....a la foreman/coetzer...............although vitali is bad ass also for a 40 yr old:good
Adamek pulls a Tommy Morrison. Not that hard to stick and move against Old Big George unless your utterly ******ed and ignore your corner like Moorer.
IDK.....how much better was a 210lb Holyfield than a 215lb Adamek. How much better was a 225 Alex Stewart than a 215lb Adamek. I think Adamek could make the distance, but like the Vitali fight, he'd take some standing or not standing KDs.
How many jabs/rd was foreman throwing in the fights with Stweart and Holy. How about Foreman vs journeyman everett martin when he was only 37 or 38, b4 his title run? Foreman wasn't a high output puncher in his second career, and relied heavily on his OH R, a punch which most modern small HW's avoid rather easily. Holy just took em, and you can hear those punches talking when he opens his mouth to speak, but Stewart saw them coming, and Adamek is much slicker than Stweart was.
i dont think adamek would be standing to the end with foreman.....THE JAB...........THAT BIG HEAVY FUKIN JAB
Holyfield made the Foreman fight harder than it had to be, because he was actaully trying to knock Big George out. He was under alot of criticism for being a boring Champion and taking fights with old men, so he tried very hard for the stoppage. Moorer made the same mistake though with greater consquence. But as Tommy Morrison showed, if you don't mind being "boooed" easy to run for your life and get a points win against the old man. I think Adamek wouldn't mind being boring either, if he could cruise to the win. I mean, since when could Tommy Morrison box like that? Even he could look slick against someone that slow.
Good take but really the thread should talk about Foreman2 in general since he didn't fight even a Bclass fighter prior to Holy, and he was 41 when Holy got him.
Holyfield both Cruiser and Heavy was a far superior fighter to Adamek, no comparison. I'll bet the current Holyfield would give Adamek a difficult fight today. Adamek is one tough SOB, he's just out of his league at heavyweight.
atsch In his prime he couldnt handle stick and movers . watch him against JIMMY YOUNG . PS He was also dropped and almost koed by JIMMY in the last round .:deal take off the rose colored glasses folks .
