The Holmes that schooled Ray Mercer vs the Povetkin that sparked out Dillian Whyte

    Who wins

Holmes vs 38,39,40 and 41 y.o Povetkin had won I think.
Povetkin had good legs until he turned 37, I think.

50-50 I think. Neither were terribly great towards the end of their careers to be fair. Whyte has a gaping technical hole that Povetkin spotted and exploited and Mercer is a tough guy with limited size and style for Holmes to school.

Holmes. At 41 Powetkin lost his balanse and his punch resistance is awful today.

Povetkin looks awful. Truly awful, shadow of his former self.

He was barely standing upright in the rematch with Whyte, it was sad stuff.

42 year old Holmes would just beat him down with a jab then once he had softened him up, which would not take that long, Holmes would start putting a right hand behind the jab.... GAME OVER.

The Povetkin of a month ago would have little chance. I'd cut him some slack on his illness but he's only as good as his last fight.

Povetkin's mechanism had completely gone. He looked like a different species let alone a different man at 41. The Povetkin who fought AJ was way past his best but he still had some speed, explosiveness, balance, coordination and timing, against Whyte his decline was frankly alarming.

He actually had created this stuff with intent and hard work. He did vs Whyte the same stuff I had been taught to do.
While for me better appeared to fake this flowchart and still continue to process body if this was boxing. KB, there I had more chances to dig this approach than in boxing.

Holmes 42, I don't think that Pov 38 y.o or older will be able to beat him.
If Pov was 36 y.o and younger, then we should look how old Holmes version we will pick up to compare with these Povetkin's versions.

Holmes by wide decision. Don’t let the brutal KO fool you, Sasha looked as washed up as his age suggested against Whyte in the first punch until the KO, a much lesser fighter to any version of Mercer from 90s.

In 3 fights before fight vs A.J btw and I'm serious there. Ok, he had won these fights, still life is life.

How do you look at this:
    35 y.o Povetkin had stopped 33 y.o Takam in 10 rounds.
    28 y.o A.J had stopped 36 y.o Takam in 10 rounds.
And yeah, prime Pov was not worse than A.J. Despite how painful this might look for western fans.
I don't think that he might had beat Lewis, Vitali or Wlad but otherwise he was long years in top 3, top 5 and top 10.

No, he was not and Is not.
Holmes form 1977-1981 most likely had beated up even Tyson from 1988 th, not alone Povetkin.
Holmes from 1988 th had been finished in distance not only by prime Pov, also prime Huck and Briedis had achieved the same outcome vs this version. Father Time is UNDISPUTED and till end of the world WILL BE UNDISPUTED ULTIMATE CHAMPION, no one else will be Champion there.

Holmes btw is boxer who likes me a lot.

I think you mean to say Holmes is a boxer you like a lot. I don’t think Big Larry knows who you are.
