This second defense in Oronó's second reign with the WBC super flyweight title was professional boxing's first ever world championship bout scheduled for twelve rounds. That distance was moot, as the Venezuelan champion would halt his Panamanian challenger in four. Does anybody know if footage of this exists and is floating around online anywhere? I can scantly dig up a handful of filmed Pantoño fights, which is kind of crazy given his multiple historic claims to fame (breaking in the sport's 12-round era, plus having been the WBC's inaugural 115lb champion in his first reign).
No footage of this fight from what I can see. Orono's two fights with Chul-Ho Kim are available on YT and make for interesting viewing. There are a couple of filmed defenses against future bantam challenger Jovito Rengifo and Puerto Rico's Orlando Maldonado. Plus, his losses in an either way affair against Payao Poontarat against the recently crowned Khosai Galaxy are also avialable to view. Very solid boxer puncher.
