Up to your old tricks blocking everyone and then within a couple of weeks being banned.

Don't you ever get tired of it? I know we do!
If you had a half a brain you would have realised I'm considered one of Marciano's harshest critics . But you haven't so , BYE!

    Mercer was not very good.

Marciano was great but retired, and there is no way of knowing how he would perform at 42 if he was active or not.

Ultimately you are asking if Mercer was good enough to beat a 10 year retired out of shape and injured all time great. One would hope so...

It is ridiculous, because how could you possibly know what a fighter would be like a nearly a decade after his last fight?

Why would you even try to speculate?

I have previously predicted that Marciano would have lost his title in 1957 if he had not retired.

I might even be drawn into speculating what would have happened a year or two after that.

Anything beyond that is in the realms of the most torturous speculation.

I'm giving Marciano the option of having been an active fighter before he faces Mercer, but being 42. he doesn't have to be
    1.retired.
    2.out of shape.

Then your obvious course is not to participate. No handwringing necessary.

Why not say vs a 46 year old Maricano and make it an easy choice.

Okay so my fictional Marciano cured his injuries, worked himself into fighting shape, traded his 300 pound heavy bag for a speed bag, and adapted a Philly Shell defense like James Toney. He also uses a modern training combo of Burger King and steroids to achieve a 240 pound tank build with a huge bubble gut. He also shaved his head and grew a mustache. He then lays on the ropes and pot shots an easily confused Mercer in route to a decision victory.

Almost correct. Rocky was both alive and dead at age 45, which why I said why not make him 46 for an easy call.

A stupid question deserves a stupid reply, but mine took a little bit of thinking. You got it on the 2nd time around

I don't think it's pretty good, I think it's an absurd response to an absurd question. You insisted on a fictional scenario where Maricano is an active boxer at 42 years of age, just so you can call people pathetic for pondering the absurd scenario you insisted they ponder. I think you need to lay off the boxing forums and get laid, maybe getting one off will help you develop a sense of humor and not take things so seriously.
