    is holmes 42 now? because id still favour him to beat briggs.

    infact it is harder thinking of former champs from the mid 80's onwards who wouldnt beat briggs right now.

    Holmes was very good at age 42, watch him school Peak Mercer & be more competitive against Peak Holyfield than comeback Foreman was. Even at age 45 in '95 against McCall, while he had faded from how good he was 3 years earlier, I still thought he did enough with his great jab to deserve a decision. Prime Briggs of '97 & '98 would lose to '95 Holmes & McCall. The shot 52 year old Holmes who beat Butterbean would out-box the shot, motionless, lethargic statue that was 2010 Briggs.
