Can anyone tell me what the point of stand 8 counts are in amateur boxing? It doesn't give you any bonus points or anything.

He landed a few but alot were on gloves and arms, no robbery IMO.

He clearly won in my opinion though.

He hurt ogogo in rd 2 and again in rd 3 and landed the clearer, cleaner shots. He definitely won the third by more than 1 point, or at least he should of...

No robbery at all, no chance. Very close indeed, vast majority of Ukrainians punches hit gloves.

yeah ogogo was keeping the gloves tight and countering with clean punches quite well. :bbb

thought the ukrainian pulled it out though.

why only 1 pt for forcing a standing count.

    that's a pile of cr&p.

should be 2 pts for a standing count.

    3 pts for a knockdown.

gotta be incentive for getting one of those.

Nah I thought it was close. Only a few punches got through clearly from what I saw. It isn't pro boxing, if it was the UKR would have won 30-27, but shots need to land clean, and they don't score jabs so who cares if he was "rocked with jabs" (which he wasn't lol).
Good performance from a huge underdog.
