Knockout in (I believe) the sixth for southpaw Antonio "The Clown" Olguin...who actually puts on a big round red clown's nose to celebrate. :rofl

Marco Antonio Lopez vs. Jesus Cruz Bibiano, 10 rounds @ super featherweight

 

Round 1

FURIOUS WAR! :fire Slugging in the center of the ring. Bibano down from a hook.

10-8 Lopez

 

Round 2

Lopez is diving in with rights over the top and then frenetically hooking the body, but Bibiano is making him pay for his aggression. Bibiano bounces his fists off Lopez's head on the way in with a chaotic spray, but inevitably gets moved back as Lopez forces the issue with the right hand up top and left upper-hook.

20-17 Lopez

 

Round 3

Lopez throws big right hands up top and plunges with that left hook to the body. Bibiano throws several shots to welcome Lopez but is moved back every time he approaches. Lopez's defense is limited to his right glove cocked up by his chin to catch whatever shots happen to come within an inch of where it's stationed, and ducking under Bibiano's overhands, but it's enough to keep the connect advantage in his favor as Bibianio's only defense seems to be slowly backing up.

Round 4

Lopez comes forward, showing a bit more versatility in his defensive game now. Bobbing and weaving, peekaboo, but it's cutting into his offense quite a bit. Very low output round, and Bibiano is landing when he's able to lure Lopez into short-lived brawls. It's still Lopez landing more shots out of his guard, though, and the sharper stuff by and large.

40-35 Lopez

 

Round 5

Wild shots missing up top by Bibiano. Lopez focusing more on the body now, and countering past Bibiano's lunges. Bibiano has to explode with a six punch combo to fight his way off the ropes. Lopez keeping steady pressure on without getting drawn into brawls.

50-44 Lopez

 

Round 6

Lopez maintains the status quo. Bibiano gets some shots off, as always, but is having more than half blocked and not stopping near as many of Lopez's. Bibiano also appears to be losing some steam, throwing arm punches whereas Lopez has conserved some energy.

60-53 Lopez

 

Round 7

Lopez has begun to show some marking from Bibiano's flurries, manifesting as dark crow's feet. Lopez leans in on Bibiano and pushes him across the ring, punching whenever there is separation. Bibiano keeps flurrying back but mostly missing or hitting gloves. Lopez picks his spots carefully, digging to the body.

Round 8

Right hands by Lopez coming forward. Bibiano backs up and sweeps out a left hook. Lopez comes in low, with a tight guard. Bibiano flurries at him, not getting anything through. Lopez drops his hands and eats a couple of jabs. Lopez bends forward and lets Bibanio's fists dribble off the top of his head as he works the body. Hard jabs by Lopez backing Bibiano up. Right hand. Uppercut. Bibiano slaps out a flurry and gets backed up across the ring. They get into a big dust-up by the ropes, both landing plenty.
