Was having trouble getting through to ESB for a while (databse server error, anyone else?), but this has been fun so far.

 

Rounds 1

Fiorletta is the aggressor, but Nagy is holding him off with right hands while getting backed up. Fiorletta wades in recklessly and gets rocked.

10-9 Nagy

 

Round 2

Fiorletta continues to come forward, sloppy but relentless. Nagy stands his ground as long as he can before picking up the tent stakes and seeking higher ground.

19-19

 

Round 3

Nagy starting to connect more with overhands as he takes a step back, but Fiorletta is bulldozing him. Close round, until Fiorletta claps Nagy with a few shots upside the head that really seem to buzz him.

29-28 Fiorletta

 

Round 4

Fiorletta is holding his jab out and pushing Nagy back, then lobbing big uppercuts at him as Nagy tries to swing wide in reply with counter hooks while stepping aside and swaying out of reach. Nagy is swimming against the tide.

39-37 Fiorletta

 

Round 5

Fiorletta doubles his jab into the guard of Nagy, then slams an uppercut beneath it. More flush jabs between the eyes by Fiorletta, insistently pushing forward as Nagy remains a heartbeat behind him getting off his counter punches. Nagy is landing some jabs as Fiorletta comes forward but not holding him at bay. Fiorletta moves in and out, battering Nagy's defenses down and eating a couple of shots at a time to land a handful. Neither is turning anything over with much deadly intent, just scoring plenty of thunks. Fiorletta's are coming in bunches.

49-46 Fiorletta

 

Nagy is heaving on his stool, making liberal use of the spit bucket offered by his corner.

 

Round 6

Fiorletta comes forward, ducking his head under a Nagy jab and firing with both hands roundabout into his sides. HARD 1-2 by Nagy aiming down at Fiorletta's face while standing his ground, but Fiorletta backs him up with an overhand right. Jab, jab, undercut to the body. Fiorletta sticks with this combo coming forward as Nagy tries to repeat his success with the 1-2 or tie up, changing tacks every so often. Fiorletta bashes him to the ropes with a multiplied hook to body and head and there paints his skull with leather. BIG slaps by Fiorletta, causing Nagy to cover up and wilt against the ropes as his desperate power counters miss.

59-55 Fiorletta

 

Fiorletta drops his arms and roars to the crowd as the bell sounds to end the sixth.

 

Round 7

Fiorletta keeps up the assault, forcing Nagy into a shell and content to whack him behind the ears or at the seams of his trunks or even just pounding a rhythm against his arms. Whatever Nagy leaves available gets drubbed. Counters are few and far between as Nagy tries to move out of harm's way and tilt his head back, to no avail. Fiorletta is now landing his lead right, lunging forward and catching Nagy in a lean-away. Nagy tries to jab at him but Fiorletta is dancing around, not particularly nimble but able to dodge the weak range-finder, ducking his head, and throwing to the body.

69-64 Fiorletta

 

Round 8

Fiorletta is slapping high overhead with his right, lacrosse-sticks swings after setting up the attack with his hummingbird jab. Fiorletta moves in for the kill. OH, OUT OF NOWHERE NAGY TURNS OVER A PEACH OF A STRAIGHT COUNTER RIGHT AND THEN BLUDGEONS FIORLETTA WITH SEVERAL CLUBBING RIGHTS, SOME OF THEM RABBIT PUNCHES. A few hooks to cut off Fiorletta's escape out the side hatch!! Fiorletta is a sitting duck, and Nagy is duck hunting. Fiorletta DOWN from sheer accumulation!! Fiorletta may have punched himself completely out. He pushes himself up to all fours, then arches his back with his butt in the air and manages to pull himself upright although his spine remains in a state of slinky non-alignment. Nagy sticks him in the belly with a jab, then starts to hook away at his guard like mad. NAGY SLAPS HIM BACK DOWN!! Fiorletta is totally gassed, unable to resist weak slaps!! He manages to rise once more, but his corner and the ref are in agreement; no more chances.

NAGY WINS!!
