Round 1 Ochieng jabs and circles left. Toms ROCKS him with a looping left after probing out to find range with his right jab. Ochieng struggles to regain his balance and goes back to circling and pot shotting with his left jab, holding the glove low and hiding his chin behind his shoulder while leaning away. Toms is the aggressor, landing lefts to the body after feigning up top with the right jab at Ochieng's head as it rolls back. Ochieng is getting walked back to the ropes and trying to dart in low and touch up the body, very light shots. Toms is walking him down confidently in the southpaw stance, putting some fear into Ochieng. Wild right hand by Ochieng missing wide of Toms' jaw. 10-9 Toms
Round 2 Ochieng is still a sitting duck for the left hand of Toms. Ochieng lays on the ropes and tries to counter from a crouch. He's finding openings mainly to the belly of Toms, landing with light fist drops, but Toms is still scoring with that left coming forward. Right hand counter by Ochieng has Toms staggering as he comes forward throwing a bit recklessly. Ochieng ducks down and hits him in the body. Toms slaps down at him, still coming forward. Lunging jab to the body by Ochieng, almost doing a full split with his legs far apart. HARD left hand by Toms, knocking Ochieng to the ropes. He tries to club him down with a right hook. Looping right to the body by Ochieng while crouched down. They trade jabs and Toms lands a left to the body. Close round. 20-18 Toms
Round 3 Ochieng is using the shoulder roll, luring Toms in and countering from the ropes while leaning into them. A few right hand leads, and he's placing the jab up high as Toms struggles to find a home for that left. Toms is still the aggressor but not as effective as he was with Ochieng intensifying his defensive efforts, which in turn leads to more countering opportunities and a higher connect rate. 10-9 Ochieng 29-28 Toms
OK, after the anthems once Abdusallamov vs. McCline starts on the Moscow card I'm going back to it and forsaking this until the Bellew vs. Miranda main event (which should be after Klitschko vs. Charr) - but this is shaping up quite nicely between Ochieng and Toms. If someone else wants to pick up the RBR they can.
Round 4 Toms is again catching Ochieng, particularly with the straight left to the gut. Toms is the ring general, not allowing Ochieng to get too cute with his defense, steady heavy pressure, going nicely to the body, slipping Ochieng's jabs springing up. Ochieng is having moments though, setting traps, using his quickness. 10-9 Toms 39-37 Toms
Round 5 Left hook to the body by Ochieng, PEACH of a shot!! Toms is down!! He beats the count but takes another drubbing to the ribs on either side as Ochieng rips away. Toms is down again, and OUT! KO5!!
It is the main event, coming on after the 12-round cofeature about to start. :err It might actually conflict with Klitschko vs. Charr after all.
