Hopkins taught me a lesson last night, I admit it. He put on a boxing display that I thought was just not possible at this stage of his career. Love him or hate him, but for the love of god appreciate his boxing knowledge. Jack Loew said you can't teach an old dog new tricks, well, the old dog just pulled out everything he gathered from a life long ambitious career and put it right in your face Jack.:deal
Yeah he is one that will go down for the ages thats for sure. He aint 43, he seems more like 36. Isnt 50 the new 30 anyways?
I can't stop admiring Bernards longetivity, longetivity is what you are. He lived in the gym, ate right through all these years and sticked with his guns like a true champion. He is truly an all time great.
you definatly cant take anything away from Hopkins last night. I havent seen him fight with that much aggression in years, Props to B- hop on a fashion nobody saw coming. As far as jack, he had no plan B for his fighter. The whole fight he kept saying double your jab follow with the right, obviously that wasnt working and he should have had the insight to change up once he know Kelly was getting a beating. The Pavlic camp will be back and I truely hope that Kelly has learned his lesson, because even B-hop endorsed Kelly as a great champion with a great future. I think B-hop may even get involved and help Kelly in the future by what he said, and if he does Kelly is on his way to a long MW championship.:happy :happy :happy
power may fade, even speed.....but technique can only grow stronger but i'll be damned if Hopkins didn't look fast last night
Bet You Freddie Roach Wishes He Was In Hopkins Corner And Got Credit. The Dude Is Like An Old Song....timeless.
Agreed. He looked like he was in his 30s last night. And he was in terrific shape, you could notice that right at the start. What an impressive performance.
Indeed:good I'm glad he was not, Nazim deserves this respect. He reminds me of Harold the Shadow.. whom got absolutely no recognition what so ever by media from training Lennox Lewis, it was Manny Steward who got every ounce of respect. I actually think Harold the shadow played just as big a part of Lennox success as Emanuel did, if not even more.
