Busy right jabs by Miranda, and a wild left to the body. Flush right hand lead by Chaves, and a follow-up left hook gets ducked by Miranda. They have a few close exchanges and Chaves is able to hurt Miranda with chopping rights to the face. Miranda circles very wide, walking briskly with his back turned to Chaves. BIG right hand by Chaves as he catches Miranda by the ropes. Miranda runs some more, popping right jabs out of a half-crouch. Flush 1-2 stepping in by Chaves. Big looping right just misses as Miranda turns and crosses his arms in front of himself. They exchange at the bell and Chaves lands a right.

Round 2

Miranda FLOORED by a big right hand after circling away for close to a minute up on his toes. Chaves closes the distance, big 1-2, another, crosses slamming Miranda across the ring. Big hooks to the body!! Miranda slumping by the ropes, doubled over, down again!!

Jorge Sebastian Heiland vs. Mateo Varon, 8 rounds @ light middleweight

 

Round 1

Heiland puts his right jab out into Veron's face while slipping his left jabs and right crosses. Steady penetrating jab by Heiland as Veron kicks his feet out to the side and winds up big looping shots. Heiland stays disciplined on the jab, even when Veron clips him with a shot.

Round 2

Big body shots by Veron after pulling a punch he'd wound up after a feinted Heiland jab. Heiland is still trying to maintain control with just the right jab, but Veron is finding success with head and body punches while staying offline from the jab with lateral movement.

Round 3

Veron is slipping the Heiland jab and working uppercuts to the body. Very consistent body work by Veron, and some left hooks to the side of the skull as Heiland tries to escape.

Round 4

Veron is slamming through with right hands over the Heiland jab. Uppercuts on the inside. Heiland has a cut by his eye. 1-2 by Heiland, rocking Veron. They both hold and hit until the ref breaks them up. Heiland gets in a 1-2 to the face and Veron flurries savagely to get off the ropes, like a cornered beast. Heiland now mixes in body shots between his straight rips to the head, taking a page from Veron.

Veron is loading up, big left hooks crashing into Heiland's ribs and rights drilling into his chest. Heiland fires back with uppercuts to head and body, pushing Veron back to the ropes. Big slapping left hook up top. Flush 1-2 by Heiland. BIG left hook by Veron. Heiland rushes in and drops his elbows on the top of Veron's back, as Veron works the body.

10-9 Veron but incredibly close and action-packed.

Round 6

Veron has to clinch as Heiland works his way in with the southpaw 1-2 and pounds the body with uppercuts. Veron tries to fight him off with a right hand but isn't getting much snap on his shots anymore. Heiland seems to have found a second wind and is loading up, big body shots. Veron answers back, triple left hook to the body. Heiland is mauling him on the inside, getting held and twirled in the middle of the ring. Big hooking shots by Heiland, knocking Veron across the ring.
