    Round 1

Rivera drops a few tomahawk jabs on Jimenez and begins to circle close. In and out steps by Rivera, popping the jab and almost backhanding it at times. 1-2 to the body by Rivera. Jimenez tries to fake Rivera out with aggressive lead foot stomps and jab feints. Rivera is unimpressed and just keeps circling in tighter and tighter. BIG right cross to the chin by Rivera, stepping inside to follow up with a left uppercut. Jimenez sticks his jab under Rivera's arm and touches his chest. Hooking combo to the body by Jimenez working on the inside and driving Rivera a few steps back.

    10-9 Rivera

    Round 2

Jabs to the body by Rivera, dancing around the ring and drilling left uppercuts into the bottom of Jimenez's chin when he tries to swarm his way in and trap Rivera on the ropes. Jimenez is throwing short compact punches out of a high tight guard and matching Rivera step for step, but can't gain the upper hand. Rivera is rolling his upper body to defend, and constantly sticking the left jab into the face and facade of Jimenez.

    20-18 Rivera

    Round 3

Big hooks to the body by Jimenez. Rivera carefully puts out his jab and right hand while dropping his head and twisting above the waist to roll with Jimenez's shots. All wild hooking from Jimenez, thudding into Rivera's body a few times but mostly missing. Rivera lines up a nice counter 1-2. Jimenez starts pumping lead rights over the top, then unloads several uppercuts to the waistline on the inside. Rivera is caught and stunned by a stray shot, but fires right back.

    10-9 Rivera

    Round 4

Rivera is jabbing and sidestepping, landing a few upstairs and then dropping the attack to the navel of Jimenez to impale him as he walks forward. BIG left hook by Jimenez, tripled up, building slowly into a series of power punches. Uppercuts, overhands and hooks thrown with authority if not speed or great accuracy. Rivera sticks the jab and backs up, circling left. Pawed jab by Rivera now, anxious to get some distance as Jimenez comes forward and plugs a jab in his belly and wings more shots at his head.

    10-9 Jimenez

    39-37 Rivera

    Round 5

Jimenez misses a lead right, and a lunging 1-2. Rivera moves in, then darts out without throwing a punch. Jimenez pitches forward out of position missing another right hand while chasing him. Rivera backs up, snaps out a few jabs and gets his forearms up to catch Jimenez's shots. WIDE hook by Jimenez, charging in and almost leaping but for his rear foot dragging on the canvas. Miss. Rivera is beginning to find his timing with that counter 1-2, but at the same time Jimenez is walking through his flush counters and insistently firing away to head and body. Rivera's defense is adequate for spells, but he's taking about every fourth or fifth wide Jimenez left hook square on the temple.

    10-9 Rivera

    49-46 Rivera

    Round 6

Slapping rainbow hook by Rivera falling in to briefly clinch as Jimenez misses his own overhand. Sloppy action on the inside, both rocking off balance while chucking shots. Double jab to the face by Rivera, causing Jimenez to blink. Stiff hook to the body by Jimenez stepping through and turning inward. Rivera backs up and catches Jimenez walking into a 1-2. Now a big left hook over the top, crashing into Jimenez' hairline. Flush jab by Rivera tilts Jimenez's head back and leaves him unable to see the impending cross. Jimenez begins to march up to Rivera and hook away with both hands. He scores! Rivera takes a moment to recover and backs away to mid-range, throwing counters rights and hurdle hooks. They slug their way around the Ford logo in the middle of the ring. Both landing some bombs. BIG uppercut from an inside crouch by Rivera.

    10-9 Rivera

    59-55 Rivera

    Round 7

They both jab and miss, and the referee issues a two-way warning for using elbows and forearms up close. Rivera circles out and drills Jimenez with a 1-2 as he's turning. Jimenez drops a powerful hook to the body in reply. Lunging jab by Jimenez, Rivera stepping back out of the way. Counter combo by Rivera, chasing Jimenez back to the ropes with uppercuts. SEVERAL uppercuts to the face by Rivera. Jimenez fights his way off with his own burst of uppers, all to the body. Rivera spins him as they continue to smash and parry, both getting through. Jimenez rips some wide powerful hooks, and NAILS Rivera on either side of the face. A minute left, and the tide is turning - Jimenez could ultimately steal this. More hooks land for Jimenez. Rivera stands outside and waves his gloves around, flinching when Jimenez shows a jab. Another warning from the ref to keep it clean and use their arms properly on the inside.

    10-9 Jimenez

    68-65 Rivera

    Round 8

Lead rights by Rivera, parlayed into a short light 1-2 to the face as Jimenez steps backward. BIG hooks by Jimenez, regaining control of the ring. Another momentum shift, Rivera going to the body with alternating uppers and side-slammers. Jimenez is pushed back to the ropes but not without putting up an argument, digging several vicious body shots of his own. Both are virtually ignoring the headhunting here and working almost exclusively downstairs, which causes the few that do roam high to become all the more eye-catching - and jarringly abrupt to snap the recipient out of their haze. BIG rips to the chest and a few cuffing shots behind the back of the head by Jimenez, sealing another one for him in the final twenty seconds.

    10-9 Jimenez

    77-75 Rivera
