Matthews is lining up the 1-2 and falling in against Spence, timing his punches and getting into a rhythm. Spence has some bursts of offense with left and right hooks bashing into Matthews' guard. Spence is being made to miss as Matthews skips around him, circling tight and keeping his gloves up, lining up counter rights. 3-2 by Matthews. Spence misses a left hook. Spence gets his wrists pinned around the nape of Matthews' neck and pulls his head down. Matthews shakes free and circles to his right, then slips several Spence hooks. Jab/uppercut combo from outside by Matthews, going to head and body.

10-9 Matthews
