Stepan Horvath vs. Max Maxwell, 8 rounds @ middleweight

 

Round 1

Horvath is bowing forward and putting up the left jab. Maxwell covers up with his forearms glued to his cheeks and then slashes out with jabs and hooks. Horvath keeps moving forward and catching Maxwell's jab on his arms, but Maxwell is digging and reaching with slap-hooks to the hips.

Round 2

Horvath is flicking his jab up and warned for low blows as he gourds in the right uppercut swooping under Maxwell's guard. They clinch and spin. Chopping light combos by Maxwell on the inside, missing past Horvath's shoulders. Straight pecking jabs by Horvath, not really snapping but scoring with them as Maxwell straightens after his attacks. Horvath moves left and keeps the jab up. Maxwell waits on the outside and then floats a jab up past Horvath's head following with an uppercut falling in, landing between his elbows. Horvath trots around Maxwell and tries grabbing him from the side to clinch but Maxwell flashes out a hook and bops Horvath's own glove back into his face as he raises it in the nick of time.

The commentators just said Horvath has very quick hand speed, after having said in the 1st that he was slow. :nut

 

Round 3

Horvath is working the jab and uppercut from outside, sailing around Maxwell in full revolutions before changing directions and punching on every step. Maxwell is getting paddled between the eyes by Horvath's steady jab. Maxwell is marching forward, looking to steamroll Horvath and force him into a clinch where Maxwell can chop and hook at him up close or work a free hand into the gut. Horvath keeps circling and countering with jabs and uppercuts.

They also say MM can't possibly have lost the 3rd, since he was coming forward the whole time. :huh

That isn't how boxing is scored on the 10PMS.

 

Yep. Though I have it all for Horvath so far, it could easily be 29-28 Max's way.

The only clear on either way has been the 2nd for the Czech.
