Jackiewicz works in behind the high guard with high jabs. Combinations to the body by Bundu. Phonebooth fight.

Jackiewicz keeps moving straight forward, missing 1-2s over Bundu's head. Flurries off the blocks by Bundu, waiting for Jackiewicz to settle down.

Jackiewicz is pressing in, throwing jabs and getting tied up on his misses. Chippy body work by Bundu.

Jackiewicz is looping in a few lead rights now, still not getting thruogh cleanly. Bundu moves side to side, shimmying and slipping his punches. Bundu lets 'em go in quick groupings of fours and fives, mostly downstairs, always on the move.

Bundu darts in, hooks the body, and recoils. Jackiewicz is waving his baton left jab and moving in unyielding straight lines, catching all of Bundu's head shots on his guard but failing to stem his body work.

They're professional boxers.

One is the European welterweight champion, the other formerly held that distinction and is now challenging for his old belt.

 

Round 6

Bundu works his way around Jackiewicz with hooks and high-climbing rights to the top of the head. Frequent clinches. Head clash. Bundu cut. They check it out. Time in. Bundu puts up the goalposts and steps forward with a hacking right. Jackiewicz goes down, but it's ruled a slip. Kind of a push after the punch.

They're just looking a different class of fighter.

 

Round 7

Bundu doubles a jab scooting forward, harrying Jackiewicz and causing him to either retreat or get shoulder-tackled off his feet. Jackiewicz can't find a punch to halt Bundu with his timing, speed and placement all just a bit off. Bundu is bouncing up and down shifting his weight from the balls to heels of his feet, working in with clap-down combos before the clinches. Jackiewicz grazes him with a jab here and there but can't find consistent accuracy.

Round 8

Jackiewicz is starting to figure out he should try for the body. Right hands falling in. He gets countered, but does manage to dig a few in on Bundu's ribcage. Bundu flurries back at him, leaning in and whipping in short wrist-flick hooks. Their heads bump repeatedly and both men complain to the unenthused referee. Bundu snakes in and out with light combos from Jackiewicz's chest up to his chin, only getting struck back with a single jab.
