Round 1

Fast paced jab battle. Nader is dipping his knees and shooting his jab up as Santos comes in behind goalposts and drops his. Nader a little more accurate.

10-9 Nader

 

Round 2

Nader is circling wide and popping in jabs to belly and nose as Santos reaches for his forehead with a lunging jab. Nice movement by Nader. Lead right by Santos, eluded with a lateral pivot as Nader keeps himself angled off the ropes and counters with light jabs. Ole turn by Nader, with a slapping hook as Santos comes forward.

Round 3

Nader is putting up the jab and catching Santos at the end of his right hand while maintaining distance. Big hooks by Santos crowding in and lurking over Nader but missing as Nader shrinks back into a seated position in the corner.

Round 4

Nader is circling and pushing out single jabs, then switching to underhand drum solos on Santos' belt line. Santos gets closer and clubs down at Nader as he crouches and jumps up with ambushing 1-2s.

Even though I've got it all one way traffic on points, El Tigre is very competitive.

 

Round 5

Nader is putting in combos while dancing to his left, hitting Santos' guard with every punch in the book. Long body shots by Santos, and clubbing right hands sent arching over Nader's jab. Santos keeps pressing in and leads with a right to the body. Nader scrambles out of the way, then ducks a high left hook. Nader slips a right hand just past his neck bending over, then sticks in jabs and single right hands while hopping around Santos in a tight circle.

Round 6

Nader is ducking behind his guard and undulating himself to either side with big slapping flurries of straight flicks. Santos covers up and blocks most of them, but Nader is working enough to prevent Santos from doing so as Santos isn't comfortable pulling the trigger while defending even against light punches. BIG combo by Santos as Nader calms down, thumping in some hooks on the body and into the arms of Nader, forcing him back. Nader might be tiring a little, his movements becoming slightly more labored as the toll of dodging and blocking under constant pressure adds up.

Round 7

Nader is moving left and putting in big hooks up on his toes, elbows sticking out level with the top rope. Right hands to cover his escape as Nader moves aside after hooking. Santos keeps coming, and threads in a 1-2 between the gloves as Nader moves. Santos pops Nader with a well-timed lead right while Nader was anticipating a feinted jab and starting to duck. Santos walks through jabs and blocks a few hooking flurries. Nader knocks Santos back into the ropes with a few loaded-up right hands thrown roundhouse into the side of his head. Big left rip to the body by Santos after weathering the storm against the ropes and pushing Nader back. Jabs and high javelin rights by Nader. Santos blocks everything coming forward and gets low to dig the body emphatically.

Best case for Santos would seem to be another draw...but I suppose there's always the possibility of a KO if Nader runs low on gas. :conf

 

Round 8

Nader is staying offline from Santos' exploratory jab, ducking and skipping in diagonals while putting up deterrent jabs and high flurries. Santos reaches for body shots, turning over mean intention hooks but rolling gutter balls as Nader keeps darting in and out of reach artfully.
