In contrary to the recent thread select 5 best current beltholders. My choice in weight order: - Wlad ... active, destroys all competition, actively looking for unification - Adamek ... active as a beltholder, impressive, no snoozer - Froch ... short as a beltholder but targeting big names with other belts - Mosley ... no explanation - JMM ... no explanation
Wlad is only the best of a sorrowful lot. Talent and skill wise, he's not even on the level of Zab Judah. Adamek never beat a top fighter, just fringe contenders, and was lucky to get the decision over Cunningham who is no ball of fire. Froch is unproven at the top level. Mosely and Marquez are good choices.
by best belt-holder ... it doesn't mean really they are the best skill wise or have great legacy but more as they act as the true champions (within the belt limits). So I'm not considering PAC or Mayweather as a good belt holders (even if they have one) because they really don't care about belts ... FLoyd care about money, PAC about big names. As for Abraham ... I thought about him but he seems to lack DESIRE to unify his belt with others. Dawson .. he does not care about his belt, he is ducking his mandatories and rely on money instead.
zab judah? is he hw? if not i don't see your point... adamek - beat o'neill bell and cunn (kd'd 3 times so i don't consider it as "lucky decision") froch - maybe too early on that kind of list but i like his attitude - no fear, no mercy
1. W.Klitschko - actively attempting to unify, fights mandetories as soon as they come up, attempts to pick interesting voluntary defenses, has completely dominated his division for several years. 2. M.Cotto - takes care of his mandetories, made fights with top Welterweights Margarito and Clottey. Win or Lose, belt or no, he's made the most interesting fights WW in the last two years for someone who holds a belt. 3. J.M. Marquez - cleaned out the super lighweight division by fighting the best two fighters available. has held belts at other weight classes and fought meaningful challenging opponents in the process. 4. V. Darchinyan - held flyweight belt for a long time, moved and unified belts at super flyweight, makes entertaining fights. 5. nobody - plenty of good young fighters holding belts, many have just gotten a hold of theirs so it's too early to call them good or bad, politics at the lower weights make unification nearly impossible and other guys, who are top fighters, moving around in weights too much to really 'hold' anything.
Say what you really feel. They suck because i dont like Euro fighters and Euro fighters suck because they are well...Euro. Then again with that kind of comparison why bother watching Boxing...atschbecause all HW's fight like 140lbers except for Wlad. I love blind hate...it cause's people to say the most off base stupidist yet funniest **** ever.
