Eubank-Benn I was a classic MW title fight so that goes in there.... Taylor-Pavlik had everything fan's like too......
That was a good fight but why was it stopped so early? and how the **** did the referee not take points for Benn attemps to hit Barkley on the ground?:huh
It was stopped cos the 3 knockdown rule was in play and Iran went down 3 times....other wise he could have gone on obviously, but not for long Benn was evil!
any chance that if Miranda goes on to claim a SMW championship (that is, that both his career and Pavlik's take off), we'll look back at their fight in Memphis as one of the best? i know i sure as hell enjoyed it
Marvin Hagler vs John Mugabi John David Jackson vs Jorge Fernando Castro Nigel Benn vs Chris Eubank I Jermain Taylor vs Kelly Pavlik I Gerald McClellan vs Julian Jackson I These were my favorites, with Hagler/Mugabi being at the top of the list. Several other Benn fights were classic brawls and Trinidad/Hopkins was a great fight too. They fall in the top 10, but of course, this is a personal favorite list.
Benn-Watson was quality too, not sure it was 160 though. Watson was a great fighter, would have been Champ, and should have been after being ripped off in the Eubank fight.
