    That's a good article:
    Squat
    Deadlift
    Overhead squat
    Clean
    Bent over row

I'd pretty much agree (with an RDL instead of the deadlift)

    Those aren't bad.

I'd add in jump roping, as well as practicing your punches.....

How is JUMPING ROPE going to make you better at knocking people out?

So many ways it does, plus lots of different ways of doing it, its endless. One or two ideas, bands cross shoulders to feet, one leg squating, going up and down an inch every 10 secs, until 45% bend. Its all about movement at speed, 10th of a second it takes, thats all you have to implement movement, train accordingly. Theres loads invent, try skipping on a log thats fun. :D

    Serious breh?

Power starts at the legs and travels up.....thus strong quick legs=strong quick punches

    You serious my man?

    You don't say!

But there's serious strength and power being generated when you Clean & Press heavy weight. But skipping...

It's just another old-timers thing like long distance running that Boxers swear by, IMO.

Mayweather does TONS of skipping. How come he isn't laying people out?

Jump rope isn't going to do anything for power, it's a small range of motion and it's low load plyometrics. Do it too much and it would take away from your power if anything. Not good for anything other than a warm up really, a boxer can easily do without it.
And obviously the article is talking about gym exercises, boxing technique is obviously the number one thing.

How on earth is skipping going to make your legs strong? You're utilizing the SSC at low loads, you're not even really using muscle to do it.

Why bother having 2 variations of the squat in there.?
Id of thought it would be better to substitute one of those with loaded depth jumps?

Loaded depth jumps should only be done by very strong athletes, even then you wouldn't want to load them. It's also more of a peaking exercise rather than a power development exercise. I doubt any boxer is strong enough to get a benefit from depth jumps.
The back squat is for strength, the overhead squat is more of a screening exercise and an exercise for balance/injury prevention.
