All of my top 5 feature modern fighters:

Roberto Duran 1978 vs Pernell Whitaker 1990

James Toney 1991 vs Bernard Hopkins 2001

Manny Pacquiao 2009 vs Julio Cesar Chavez 1990

Floyd Mayweather Jr 2002 vs Julio Cesar Chavez 1987

Joe Calzaghe 2006 vs Roy Jones Jr 1994 (purely to see Jones whip him, because I hated their actual fight so much)

duran vs pacquiao at 135 - maybe the best action fight you could make on the highest level.

ezzard charles vs sam langford at 175 - could the best ever at 175 handle the pressure of the stalking langford?

henry armstrong vs alexis arguello at 130 - again, can arguello handle armstrong's constant attack?

salvador sanchez vs erik morales at 126 - i think this would be another can't miss action classic.

rocky marciano vs roy jones at 185 - jones' weight was around this when he walked in the ring as a light heavy. there's really no size difference between them. i would make bets with posters on classic boards everywhere and be able to retire after jones wins. :good

This is exactly the match I think about a fair bit. I reckon it would be an absolute swinging barnstormer. Two out of control windmills going hell for leather at each other in the ring . Trying to pick a winner though, I change my mind every day.

The other fights I usually consider are...Sugar v Sugar, and Mo v Joe...but they been covered quite alot.

I'm still kinda' pissed that "Mike Weaver-Texas Cobb" and "Larry Holmes-Gerrie Coetzee" failed to develop like originally planned in 1982 and 1984... WORD!

ALSO! Bowe and company wussin' out of a mege-fight with Lewis in 1993... ARGH!

sugar ray Robinson and charley burley just because of the mystery surrounding burley there's not much footage of him, so to think about how the fight would of happened has always been intriguing for me. I think it would be very technical. I even day dream about this fight in school and during tests
Roberto Duran and ike Williams at lightweight is the first fantasy fight I think both had terrific ferocity and fantastic boxing skills

I can't pick just 5 fantasy match ups so I will pick more.

Tommy Hearns vs Mayweather, SR Robinson

    Joe Frazier vs Holyfield

Foreman vs Tyson, Lewis, Bowe who he actually called out and got avoided by all.

Tyson vs David Tua and Ike Ibeabuchi.

    Julian Jackson vs Hagler, GGG

Marciano vs any half way decent modern sized heavyweight so he could get knocked out.

I honestly think Henry Armstrong would be a tougher fight for Duran than Williams. I just don't picture Ike winning tha fight, or really be close to winning I frankly
