Name 5 Current (World Level) A Fighters. B Fighters C Fighters D Fighters. e.g: Paulie Malignaggi might be an A fighter when you take into consideration all boxers around the world. But when you dissect down to world level fighters theres a big difference between he and a Pacquiao. While they both might be in the top 10% of the fighters in the world, they are on a different scale when you look further into that 10%.
A: Floyd, Ward, Klitshko, Pacquiao and Rigo B: GGG, Martinez, Bradley, Bhop (not legacy wise of course), Canelo C: Guerrero, Maidana, Kovalev, Mora, Provodnikov D: Rios, Darnell Boone (maybe higher who knows), Pianeta, Lepai, Scott
a. Mayweather, Pacquiao, Ward, Froch, Brook b. Khan, Groves, Frankie Gavin, Quigg, Frampton c. Maidana, Rios, Edwin Rodriguez, Senchenko, Yusaf Mack d. Broner, Malignaggi, Eric Crumble, Keith Thurman, Audley Harrison.
Kovalev a C level fighter? Especially when every big name in the light heavyweight division wants no part of him? :blood I'm not trying to be too high on GGG, or Kovalev, but I think they are both A level fighters that both display qualities only fighters I consider 'special' to possess.
I don't get were some of the people on this forum get off calling world champions, or former world champions C or D level fighters. There are hundreds if not thousands of competitors for each individual weight class, and literally more than 90% of them don't even break into the top 10% let alone fight for a title, let alone WIN a title. I don't get how someone could call Paulie, or Maidana D level when Paulie is currently ranked 13 out of 1698, and Maidana 4 out of 1698. :-( These are truly the rankings of arm chair warriors who have never laced up a pair in their lives. :barf
A: Floyd, Ward, Rigo, Pac, Bradley B: Martinez, Maidana, Frampton, Canelo, Vasquez C: Burns, Collazo, Peterson, Angulo, Broner D: Senchenko, Lepai, Rios, Figueroa, Ortiz
Complete bull****. Fighters can have a name and still be on the periphery of the top 100. Those are your C- type of fighters. People like Maidana or Paulie who have won multiple world titles are B+ at the very least.
A - Pacquiao, Mayweather, Wlad, Ward, Rigo B - GGG, Kovalev, Bradley, Danny Garcia, Martinez c - Crawford, Mikey Garcia, Russell Jr, Stevenson, Khan D - Broner, Guerrero, Ortiz, Alvarado, Brook
:good You nailed it on the head my friend. These guys are so fake it's unbelievable. I bet they'd hurt their wrist hitting a heavy bag.
smh people have no respect for the talent, and hard work required to make it on some of their fallacious alphabet lists. If these people ever laced a pair up, and stepped in the ring for once in their lives they would know just how hard it is to reach the world level in front of a television audience.
:good The edit was nice, and it was necessary to clarify your perception of what it means to be a A,B,C, and D level fighter among only the relevant in sport. But the way some of these posters come off calling people C, or D level like Broner, Malignaggi, or Khan, in the most disparaging way is what really bothers me. Any person who wins a world title (whether it be a paper title, or not) should be considered an average B fighter. A C level fighter to me is someone like Josesito Lopez, or Jesus Soto Karass.
