Conteh was just brilliant. He really could've made so much more of his career, he had it all.

    :good

  6. Marquez isn't the best example.

He's as close to an all rounder as you'll currently find.

He's reasonable defensively, very seldom out of position, good (if slightly flat) footwork and probably the widest variety of punching too - long, short, both hands, etc.

There's nothing that he's got that he isn't reliant upon - it all comes together. Suppose you could say he's a bit of a puncher...... :think

Ray Robinson and Willie Pep stand out for me as the top two all time.

I'd say he fits the mould of your 'aggressive counter puncher'.

Ricardo Lopez is the most technically accomplished fighter I've ever seen.

Great shout, Lopez was the perfect ring general and composite puncher. I'll take JMM over him based on level of opposition though. Lopez looked far more in control in terms of aesthetic qualities, but I'm not sure he would've if he'd taken on Marquez-esque challenges :good

Absolutely perfect fighter though, one of the most joyous experiences I've had as a boxing fan is watching Lopez.
