I'm surprised at how many people dislike Tarver. I happen to think he's funny.

I just want to see one guy KOed and that's Slappy Calzaghe. Hopefully, RJJ does the trick.

So that makes him more skilled than Abraham?

Again, WHAT does that have to do with being the best? :-(

Why do you guys say "best" when you mean "best resume" (which itself is debatable in Pavlik's case)??

You DO realize they aren't the same thing, RIGHT?

If Abraham is more skilled, let see him beat Miranda more convincingly than Pavlik. I don't think he can beat Miranda next month.

MORE crazy leaps of logic. Having a stylistic advantage over Miranda is now the middleweight Sword in the Stone? :yep

Whatever. Lets see what Abraham's skills can do for him outside of Germany.

Microsoft Paint can probably draw a more perfect circle than Leonardo Da Vinci. Is the software application a better artist?

So Pavlik has bigger names on his resume and beat a common opponent more decisively. Does that make him more technically skilled than Abraham?

Is any of this sinking in?

Strange reasoning. Skills don't mean **** if you can't apply them.

Skills mean everything when you're talking about "the best" at anything. This is a hard-learned lesson in semantics that you guys have been struggling with.

"The most decorated" is not the same as saying "the best". "The most likely to win certain head-to-head matchups by knockout as opposed to decision" is not the same as saying "the best". "The most likeable" certainly is not the same as saying "the best". You guys have your judgment clouded by a) the public's love affair with the humble blue collar character that's been built up for Pavlik (whether it's real or not, I really don't give a ****) and b) the weight erroneously placed by most in the boxing community on nonsense such as "beating the man to be the man". If you want to say Kelly Pavlik has a better chance of stopping more top-tier opponents than any other active middleweight, that's one thing (not that I'm endorsing such a claim, but at least it would be a specific claim and not worded improperly). That's not the same as saying "Kelly Pavlik is the best middleweight". Of all the active middleweight professional prizefighters right now, Kelly Pavlik is not technically the best boxer. No way in hell can you make that claim. Slight alterations in phrasing can change a LOT. :good

    You have now been educated.
