    I watched Michael Grant versus Golota yesterday. That is a great match. A back and forth, high drama, foul fest where both men taste the canvas. Also, it's the last real glimpse at Grant in top form (and he was a decent fighter if you can remember that).

    George Foreman-Lou Savarese.

    Even though at times it looked as if the fight was in slow motion it featured some great give and take action and was very close. Quite remarkable that a 49 year old George finished the stronger and was the fresher man at the end really.

    De La Hoya-Vargas

    De La Hoya came back from some heavy punishment from a juiced up Vargas early to score a late stoppage. A very high quality, skillful yet rugged fight. Because it was relatively controversy free it doesn't get talked about as often as Oscars' fights with Trinidad and Quartey but it was a much, much better fight than both.

    yeah, people forget about that one. Vargas had his act together on that night more than he gets credit for.
