His handspeed might be quicker, but he still gets lit up with jabs. Cotto did the same thing. Now if he wants to stand outside and box, like he tried to do against Mayweather, he'll be playin Mora's game.

If he comes straight in, he's going to have to adapt his style in a short period of time or Mora is going to nail him with jabs on the way in.

At 38, I don't see this happinen, and I don't remember people sayin Shane was a smart fighter until after he fought Floyd. Before that he was just a power brawler with speed.

    What changed?

ur off when u say a "power brawler with speed"...shane will brawl with ya...he's more of a "boxer puncher" though...

Cotto is a lot more skilled than Mora and was able to use timing to offset shane alot of the time...Mora doesn't have that capability..if he shows it now it will be the first ive seen of it..his timing is aight..not on the level of a cotto and never been used against a fighter as top caliber as shane..

V.Forrest wasn't on Shane's level later in his career so I dont think thats a good fight to use either...Forrest was given a gift in the Ike Quartay fight a few fights earlier n 2006

I've seen about 8 Mora fights and he brawls everytime. Go watch the Manfredo fights, Archak or Calvin Green fights.

But that's because his opponents make him brawl. He has no punch to hold them back. But these guys are bigger guys that Mosley. And Mora is more deveolped fighter.

Calvin Green was his last fight...It was on the RJJ-Bhop PPV and he brawled quite a bit in that fight. Green did well early.

I do not particularly like Sergio Mora, but he is a warrior. If an opponent hurts him, he usually tries to retaliate immediately. That may be his down fall against shane.

i agree with Hendo's analysis. it was very good to me. mosley has trouble when fighters use range on him, etc: forrest, wright, and cotto. cotto, though not as dominant as the others, used his jab to keep mosley on the outside and disrupt his timing. they were basically even on the inside and power shots, but cotto's jab won the fight. mayweather is the only fighter who beat shane inside and outside. shane is a stylistic fighter. either you have the style to beat him or you don't. snake has the style.

I understand that, but the key is that Green did well early when he was strong.

Mora doesn't have a great punch, and his opponent was strongest in the beggining of the fight.

But Shane is a 38 or 39 year old man who is not that hard to find. If he tries to implement Nazim's strategy of boxing and using feints to set up his attacks, Mora is going to pick him apart.

And if old man Shane tries to get inside, he's alwasy been easy to find with a jab, and I doubt he has the legs to be chasing Mora around the ring.

This is just a bad fight for Shane, especially at this stage in his career.

You still think Shane is the same guy that fought De La Hoya.
