The points were pretty legit. To me the biggest reason was #2. Floyd's legs are gone. That is clear to me. I think it would be an interesting fight. If Floyd wins, honestly I hope all of his haters finally just shut the **** up and give him his due, but I know that they won't because that's not what haters do.

I don't think he can anymore. A couple of years ago, the Manny that fought Hatton could. His last several fights he seems to have lost his footspeed a bit. He comes in on a straight line and doesn't create the angles he used to. That alone would make for an relatively easy night for Floyd

How about 5 reasons why Mayweather can be Pacquiao, and not just because he's smart and undefeated. I've yet to hear a detailed analysis.

Floyd is a guy that will be very good, if not one of the best fighters in the world well into his 30's, maybe into his 40's as well. He is just so damn technically sound and smart that he will be just fine as his physical abilities errode. Pac needs his athleticism far more than Floyd does and lets face it, Pac is slipping too.

I did read it , and I've analyzed this fight to death. I always pick Pacquiao to win.

People who pic Floyd don't give any good reasons apart from him being undefeated, smart, and bc PAcquiao struggled with Marquez, who really shares nothing in common with Floyd aside from being a boxer.

Inactivity – Nope. As Mayweather once again will demonstrate against Ortiz, inactivity doesn’t effect him like most fighters. He’d have to have gained serious weight while he’s been off, for him to be affected to the point where Pacquiao (as well as others) will have caught up with him.

Trainer – Freddie Roach won’t be able to get in there and fight for Manny.

Lefty – Yeah, I can see this causing Mayweather a few problems to begin with.

May’s legs – Despite what Roach thinks, I don’t believe they have left him. When he needed to, he moved very well against Mosley and JMM.

    Pac’s speed and power
    – Yes, just like the southpaw thing, I can see it troubling May to begin with. But then, like all of his fights, things change when May familiarizes himself with the opponent before him and begins making the necessary adjustments. Judah, Oscar, Mosley, etc, they all had power and speed one way or the other, but it wasn’t enough to carry them the full 12 rounds and get that W.

I think the reason Pacquiao will win is because he throws so many punches and so fast it's nearly impossible to win a decision against him. I don't think Floyd has the power to KO or badly hurt Pac Man and Pac will win the close rounds on the judges score cards because he'll be more active

If Manny had fought Mayweather in 2009 or on their initial March 2010 date, Pac would've stopped him IMO. His blend of speed, power, and mental strength was too much for Mayweather, hence Floyd conjuring up the drugs dog**** at the 11th hour to duck the fight.

Now? I have no idea. Pac looked superb against Margarito IMO, but he did not look the same in the Mosley fight. Was that because Mosley ran like a terrified, shameless ***** and because Pac suffered leg cramps in the fight? We won't know for sure until we see Manny in his upcoming fight. I'll call a Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight in November.

^ I agree with this. If the fight happened tomorrow I'd still pic pacquiao tho , but I wouldn't feel as comfortable as I would be a few years ago. have to wait and see how Floyd looks in his next fight.

Youre naive to think that pac wont be getting countered everytime he tries to land on floyd. This is the reason why floyd will win.Hes quicker to the punch, much better footwork and a master counterpuncher.Floyd will land a record amount of punches on pacquiao.
