He hurt Marquez clearly in the 5th after the knockdown, and had him wobbling after a right hook. He laid a nasty beat down on him in the last 30 seconds. Did you see the bloody mask on Marquez face at he end of the round? The 6th round wasn't as intense as the 5th, but Pac was clearly in control and outboxing Marquez. Marquez was landing some counters her and there but nothing to convince you that he was in control of the fight up until that KO.
Pac fell off because his defense has been **** ever since he's been in the spotlight. We can thank JMM for exploiting him 4 times now :deal
My 5 points if I may! 1) The right hand vs. Likar Ramos This content is protected 2) The right hand during sperrign for IV This content is protected 3) The right hand in the 3rd round This content is protected 4) The right hand in the 5th round This content is protected 5) The right hand in the 6th round This content is protected Conclusion: JMM specifically trained for the power right hand to deliver it maximum force
The look on JMM's face after the 3rd round knockdown is priceless. By the way, that angle on the KO punch shows perfectly why it was so devestating. It was about 10% arm punch, and 90% shoulder/body behind the shot. He didn't even get his arm extended halfway.
My man. JMM is getting bigger and older, losing speed therefore putting more emphasis on power. Specifically his right hand counter. Pac was winning the fight in my opinion, but yes JMM was catching him and looked to be going for the KO instead of leaving it to the judges. He wanted to test the last two fights, Top Rank said **** no. Looks like he wants testing if they want a 5th (probably know's they'll kindly decline), so putting any blame on him for no extra testing is odd to say the least..
i had pac steam rolling cotto while everybody had cotto winning. too much speed and volume-punching. also is 1 of the reasons y pac-floyd never happened. floyd would have been too busy on defense to apply pressure on the offense. stylistically, a bad match-up for floyd
Pacquiao said he didn't realize he got KTFO until he was already sitting in the corner with people huddled all around him. He then asked Buboy Fernandez what happened. Buboy said the fight was over and he saw Marquez thumping his chest on the other side of the ring. Then it dawned on him that he just got knocked out
I'm not going to speculate on Pac's deterioration and Marquez's power. We will never truly know. But everything I quoted here is spot on. Pac should be done with Marquez. He should have been done after the 3rd fight, but in the infamous words of Notorious B.I.G.: "Press ya luck an'.. get a butt ****'n!" And that's exactly what happened. And Marquez should ride off into the sunset. He's has truly done it all. Because if he thinks he's gonna **** with Money Motha****in Mayweather, he will be pressing his own luck.
same i think we all would expect pac to take that shot in the the 3rd round so thats why i too think his punch resistance has gone but the shot in the 6th that would have knocked alot of people out but pac is still my favourite fighter an i thought he looked realy good in that fight untill the knock out the best i have seen him in years but if is punch resistance has gone there is no point in carrying on imo an i would hate to see him not fight agen i just think he should maybe think about retiring now but bob wont let him so thats not gona happen.an in advance sorry about my spelling cuz some people like to complain about my mistakes even tho its just a forum.
