I like Migs, but he's got no shot in hell of beating Mayweather. I don't even give him a puncher's chance because he lacks the speed and the footwork to even get himself in a position to catch Floyd.

    Cotto(e) listen to me:

Floyd has never faced anyone like Cotto.

He has never faced anyone that has had to entirely transform their style in order to survive in their career.

We all remember the body hunting, hooking badass, dirty mother****er that dominated the 140 division and to some degree 147.

Then Margarito happens. Then Pacquiao happens.

We see Cotto re-emerge with the classic Manny Steward trained jabbing style - it is an excellent addition, though not the complete solution.

What we see now with Cotto is a fighter who has lived through at least 3 complete styles in his career.

Mayweather is a master of ad******g to his opponents during fights. Cotto has arguably the most depth of any active boxer today, he's literally had to adjust to adapt to his opponent's skillset.

I firmly believe that Cotto can mix it up enough & bring a masterful Cuban gameplay to neutralize Mayweather's ability to adjust after a few rounds.

And also I think May knows this, and is ad******g as well, getting bigger, getting used to manhandling opponents.

I honestly don't know what the outcome will be. But I know Cotto has answers for everything Mayweather has brought thus far. This fight will depend entirely on what NEW things Mayweather brings to the fight (and I think he's the smartest in the game so he will bring new things hopefully)

2 years ago I was on a bus with an young semi-pro boxer from Dearborn, he says he remembers Mayweather coming to visit his class a few times over the years, got to know him, and he told me that the only fighter Mayweather feared & the only fighter he thought could beat Mayweather was Cotto. I believe so as well.

    1. What's Boricua power? They're hardly the best Latin Americans at boxing.

    2. Cotto(e) has been visibly discouraged on more than one occasion.

    3. Floyd isn't the one to play this game with. Many people couldn't handle the fact that he took it to the streets last September and were crying like a suburban white girl soccer team over Floyd's "sportsmanship".

    4. Good point

Mayweather has never had to deal with a true Cuban game plan. They are their own masters of the sport in the Olympics, Floyd has not dealt with their style & effectiveness.

Sorry I don't record bus conversations with strangers, but this young man said that Mayweather spoke of a genuine fear & avoidance of Cotto. It took only a few months but you're a real ****** of a troll, go blow your brains out in your parents basement ******.

    2. Its called La Denfesa you might know it as The Rope A Dope

    3. I just hope Floyds Uncle dont jump in when Cotto has him flipped upside down.

    4:thumbsup

    5. He might not be undefeated in yours and the worlds eyes but deep down in our heart us Cotto Fans know hes really undefeated.

the 19-year-old Mayweather, narrowly defeated the 22-year-old Lorenzo Aragon of Cuba in an all-action bout to win 12–11, becoming the first U.S boxer to defeat a Cuban in 20 years.

done at 19 when he was in the Olympics without his real trainer training him for the fight:smoke

At the pro level is will be unreal, you will watch your hero crumble & perish before you very eyes. It will be horrible, painful & life changing for you, but this is the way of the world. The Puerto Rican superior under the tutelage of the infinite Cuban gameplan will squash your meek black hero like the common housefly.
