Any idea what's going on with this? They had said there would be significant announcements at the last Saudi card regarding weight class and rules, yet there wasn't anything officially announced. 10 days on still nothing, other than a rumoured UK 5 vs 5 in the UK as well. Could it be that they might switch the card to the UK opposed to Saudi but be full Saudi branded? Could be a brilliant evening so I hope it happens.
I wouldn’t get too excited by this, I doubt it will be marquee names. Yarde v Smith is a no brainer to be one of the five and I doubt it will be in there. Luckily we have the best fight in boxing headlining the card, so all is not lost. Beterbiev on points for me. Something like 8-4.
It's tailor made for York Hall. Partisan crowd, all tickets allocated to the fighters. They were saying on the Bunce podcast last week, even the fighters won't know who they're fighting until the press conference - I find that really hard to believe, that the Board and the fighters would go along with it, and contractually how it'd even work. So no doubt there's plenty spin going on to try and make it seem different and that's taking a while to figure out logistics.
As far as I can think Franks only got one bird that Raven Chapman (scuse the pun) so won't be hard to work out your secret opponent if you're the Matchroom girl of choice
It’ll be in Saudi. No way they’re putting Bivol v Beterbiev in the UK, sadly, as much as I wish they would. I’m hoping one of them really puts one of their big names in there. For example if Queensberry nominate Dubois or Joyce - you have to think Joyce is a shoe-in after taking the Kash Ali fight for presumably peanuts - it would be intriguing to see just how big the other side go in return.

I would rather they take as much time as they need to make the best possible fights. The card is not until June, so no need to rush IMO. Last I heard, Sheeraz v Ammo was almost certain. Dubois v Huni was being targeted, but after he nearly got banjoed by Lerrana maybe that’s scrapped now. I had also heard Zack Parker v Craig Richards was also mentioned, as well as Liam Davies v Shabbaz Massoud. Let’s face it, every MR and QP fighter under the sun is trying to get on for obvious and understandable reasons, so it must be complicated.
