No, but when you say he only beat men of any class who were Middles and/or Light-Heavies it becomes much easier to see why he was so dominant. Not because he much better than those around, just bigger. Anyways here's the 25, based on achievements but taking not I value résumé more than anything else.

    1. Muhammad Ali
    2. Joe Louis
    3. Lennox Lewis

    6. Wladimir Klitschko
    7. Evander Holyfield

There might be 25 men who could have beaten him, but you can never prove it.

    Wow , just wow!

You have people on your list who never held the lineal title.

People who never held any version of the title.

Even people who never beat anybody ranked in the top ten, I think!

You are basically assuming that the highest possible accomplishment in Jeffries era is worthless, while beating anybody with a pulse in other eras, makes you worthy of greatness!

    That is absolutely ridiculous!

Incidentally, it doesn't matter how big Jeffries opponents were.

If they were the best available, then they were the best!

If he could have beaten anybody in the top fifty, don't you think that he might have been tempted by the money?

Tyson ducked him to fight McNeely, and still wouldn’t fight The Bean after The Bean himself beat McNeely.

    Ok.
    Two. Two people.
Who? Like c'mon. There's no-one there who never beat anyone in the top 10 and we know it.
No, I don't think that the people Jeffries beat were good. Not much more to it. I don't value wins over middleweights as great wins for "the best heavyweights ever". I don't think you would either, especially had it happened today.

That is frighteningly close to my list. Marciano a few spot lower, Tyson a couple higher...

I think Hart's claim was pretty dubious, I see little reason to regard it above Maher's, and his overall record is pretty shallow and uninspiring

I think Tony Tubbs is a good shout. He outpointed Bonecrusher Smith and Greg Page who were both beneath championship level because Larry Holmes was the real champion..and Holmes stopped Bonecrusher and he stopped David Bey who beat Page.

All of the “belt holders” rank below legitimate champions anyway.

Despite his problems with drugs, he had good victories: Bonecrusher Smith, Greg Page, Alexander Zolkin, Bruce Seldon and a controversial defeat with Bowe.

Who did Hart beat to get his title? I wouldnt put him among the worst but beating Jack Root wasnt exactly awe inspiring imo.

That’s lousy form. Not one of those fights decide the best heavyweight in the world.
