explain a slightly unorthodox decision please considering some of the accusations of racist calling around this bout.

The Dokes - Weaver stoppage was a disgrace for sure mate. The fix may well have been in.

I rate Coetzee's draw with Pinky extremely highly with the benefit of hindsight showing just how damn good Pink was at the time.

We should remember that he pasted Snipes in a fight that won all the awards for "Highway Robbery of the Year". Gerrie dropped him twice and got the better of the rest of it in a disgraceful decision. A common score was around 7-3 in rounds with some having it even more one sided. No-one on the planet scored it for Snipes except a couple of judges. In his very next fight Snipes dropped Holmes and had him in serious trouble.

Wow, not a single person has yet mentioned Tommy Morrison, who was steamrolled by Michael Bent when the latter already had brain damage. Morrison was a good left hook, a good supply of dianabol, some good matchmaking and clever marketing from his association with Rocky V, and nothing more.

Briggs has only been mentioned by one and would be beaten by most of the guys mentioned, including some of those old time 175 pound heavies if they could get out of the first three rounds. the guy's claims of "asthma" were disgraceful when the reality is that he likes to train as a weight-lifter rather than a fighter, and thus, has no stamina and can on a given night be beaten by any can with a motor.

No one said Roy Jones, who is basically a proven PEDS cheat.

After that, Bent himself, and Stiverne,

Maskaev (who I also don't think anyone mentioned) would be #6 for me, although most of the names on the list are good shout-outs outside of Jefferies, who was great, and Tubbs who has all the talent in the world an no discipline.

The WBO back then was like the IBO today.
