If a flat footed, slower Cotto can outbox Shane I don't see how he stands a chance against Floyd. That being said, with the pacquiao fight falling through this is the next best fight that could have been made and everyone was bitching and moaning for this fight after Mosley destroyed Margarito. I am looking forward to it. The first time in a long time I've been excited for a mayweather fight.

I agree but its not far fetched to think he doesnt stand a snowball chance in hell in which you're clearly trying to imply!

Again, nobody is calling him prime so why are you basing implying that posters are...thats my question I have for you.

We can also can look at it from a flip side...Floyd has been on record trying to get a fight with Mosley...Mosley didnt have any interest in fighting him back in those days for whatever reasons. Is it safe to say that Mosley waited until FLoyd slowed down...I know that might be crazy but people can use that arguement as well given that he tried to make a fight with Mosley...So for you to say he wouldnt have a chance 5 years ago really doesnt hold any merit!

I know all about Floyd calling him out, and? Does that prove he would've taken the fight? Shane fought Winky and Forrest at their peak, and Shane ducked Floyd? Who has Floyd fought of their caliber? Who's been accused for years of ducking? Who doesn't fight great fighters in their primes? the people who look stupid are the ones saying Shane isn't washed up. I know what his rank is... He also hasn't fought in almost two years, that's death for a 40 year old fighter.

I looked and I couldn't find where I accused anyone of saying Shane was in his prime. Someone did say that he's better than he was 5 years ago, and that's dumb enough.

If you think about the circumstances things pretty much even out. Floyd has fought only one opposition in the last 3 yrs (just about). Compare that to Shane's 1.5 yr layoff and you'll see there really isn't much difference. As easy as you think Margarito was for Shane, JMM was probably as easy considering the physical advantages Floyd had when they fought.

I wouldn't be surprised if Shane pulls off the win since Floyd has never really faced an explosive guy like him. Let's not be so nit picky. If Manny Pacquiao gets treated like a king for beating ODLH and Cotto, then Floyd should at least get respect if he beats Shane.

i dont know man..who is known for ducking?? R u saying floyd was/is scared of shane? Cuz i think different...when floyd is calling out oscar and shane at the same time its clear he wants the fight..he was happy to take the oscar fight and he didn't seem to mind fighting shane at all after manny bounced out...

Again...stop living in the past..floyd is fighting the top fighters out there since he has come back ..the 1 2 and 3 guys as a matter of fact..name one other fighter who is activley going after the 1 2 and 3 fighter in the sport??till than shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

this guy must be joking or juss messin around..i honestly dont believe he believes the bull**** he sayin..i think he tryin to get a rise out of mutha fu34as in this thread...seriously..a lot of the **** he sayin has nothing to back it with..no sources or anything..just an empty opinoin..:-(

Well yeah that makes it somewhat interesting. But while Shane has looked like **** for a while now, Floyds is quite a bit younger and has yet show signs of slowing down. 38 is just so much older than 33.
