    Manny Pacquiao

    Marco Antonio Barrera
    Erik Morales

    Juan Manuel Marquez

That being said...I could possibly squeeze them all on the Ring's top 80 list knowing about some of the guys who are on it.

So apparently beating Juan Diaz would put Pac top 25.

3 years later he beats JMM officially, Diaz(albeit the wrong one), Hoya, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey and Margo and some still have him outside top 25.

If Pac fights and beats Mayweather id say possibly top 5.. IF he fights and loses maybe top 20 . if they dont fight and Pac doesnt lose to anyone else maybe top 10.

Barrera- Morales top 60 on my list
Marquez top 75 on my list but he can go up alot maybe even pass Barrere,Morales if he can beat a Kahn or Bradley.

Do you think a loss will really hurt him though, mate?

I was watching Pacquiao/Morales II earlier and Merchant said that Morales was the bigger man and he questioned whether Pacquiao actually belonged at 130lbs and wondered if he should be at 126lbs instead. If someone had said "In a few years, he'll be the hot favourite to beat Mosley", it would have been ridiculed. I'm not sure how much a loss at this stage hurts him because he's a great little man doing amazing things. At the end of the day though, he's a little man and he shouldn't be beating guys like Cotto and Margarito up! Should he lose to a welterweight, I'm not sure if history will really judge him because it's been expected that he'll get beaten by a welterweight for years.

Considering he can still fighter at 135lbs, I'd imagine, I don't really know how much a loss at this stage would hurt him. The disadvantage he's giving up in size could mean that any loss now, will be judged the same as an old fighter losing, you know? Yeah, he lost but any historian or reputable journalist will follow the loss up with "But". In the case of many great fighters, those losses have been followed by "But he was an old man" and in the case of Pacquiao, it may be "But he wasn't a welterweight".

I think if he does lose at this stage, there would also be questions about his dedication to the sport and him actually aging too. Considering he spent the majority of his career in the bottom third of divisions in boxing, he's actually getting on a bit. I think in recent fights, he's slowed down slightly but that could be because his opposition haven't suited him. His dedication is a big thing though and I think, sooner or later, that will hurt him.

Obviously a loss will hurt - There's no debate about that. I'm just not sure whether it'll be seen as a loss similar to Leonard losing to Duran, De La Hoya losing to Trinidad or Chavez losing to Tszyu. Not in the sense that the losses are similar, but whether they are seen as being a significant loss, a loss with a fair "but" after, or a loss which is completely insignificant due to one reason or another.

I f Pac loses many will point out that hes still near the top of his game.. So unfair or not yes i think it will hurt him also critics will bring up the catch weight thing...They will say"See when he met an opponent on fair terms he loss". If he loses you cant compare it to Chavez/Tszyu,because Chavez had about as much left as ALi did against Holmes. ODLH/Tito was controversial i count that as a win for Oscar. Leonard revenged the loss to Duran... WHat im saying is if Pac loses clearly to Mayweather his stock will drop a little.. But hey TOp 20 is still super elite company to be in,and there isnt alot seperating a guy at 10 and one at 20.
