It's great that 50000 fans showed up for the fight.

But unfortunately there was probably +40 000 people who couldn't see ****.

I've been to the Bell Center in Montreal a few times. It fits about 21 000 people. And honestly if you're most then 150-200 feet from the ring you may as well watch the fight at home because you can't see ****. The fighters are too small. I had half decent tickets for Bute-Berrio and honestly I watched most of the fight on the big screen.

    just got this off wikipedia.

The all-seater stadium is based around a bowl design with a capacity of 90,000, protected from the elements by a sliding roof. The all-seater stadium is based around a bowl design with a capacity of 90,000, protected from the elements by a sliding roof. :yep

The roof doesn't close entirely. It's a totally wank design. It closes enough to cover the spectators, but not the whole field.

Much more preferable than fighting in front of a few thousand 'suits' in some souless American casino, whatever the ppv numbers might be

preferable for fans maybe but 50.000 people does not mean 50 million dollars/pounds.

We are all forgetting that it could have done waaay more if it hadnt been on at 1.30am UK time.

I think the record could have fallen had it been a 10pm kick off...

The view from the back was actually fairly decent for all the smart asses who are saying it was **** and werent even there

Put Floyd v Hatton in a place that can hold 50k (even in another country) and there will be 50,000 there.

    Joe v Manfredo was 35k.

Brits are the best fans in the world with Puerto Ricans a close second. Part of the reason I love watching Cotto is because his fans ****ing love it. You can see em loving it on TV.

Yeah and let Joe fight B-hop in Cardiff and Britain will have the 2 biggest ever.

(Would a fight at Wembley count as indoors if the roof don't close all the way??)

If Hopkins wants to fight JC he should have to come to JC's home country. Someone said Hopkins mentioned something about Yankee Stadium, he has lost his mind. Hell he can't even fill a Las Vegas arena. He couldn't fill Yankee Stadium even if the tickets were free!
