Byrd was ranked #1 had not lost since 2000 and held the ibf belt for 4 years all the while beating , Tua, Holyfield, Golota, Mccline, Oquendo and williamson. Now what current paper champion was Ko'd by a middleweight... and almost stopped by another.:deal Need a hint he Rhymes with Gay

It would be a great fight but i have trouble believing Haye really wants it considering his actions the last 2 years.

true lol i have seen a couple on here and some of the press in the UK. Point being though Wlad was #1 when he fought Iggy still was bringing the lions share of the profit with him ye made it a 50/50 fight to make sure that it happened why he would then but not for Haye who he also has personal reasons to want to get in the ring makes no sense.

But what you or i believe makes no difference, it will happen or it wont.

but if it does, it would be bigger if he takes on vitali first.

Look at the 154 division. a lot of belt holders, but none are considered as the champ. cotto vs spinks could be 50-50 today. lets say cotto beats pac and williams next, cotto vs spinks would not be 50-50 no more

he actually lost to golota but i agree with you :goodanyway i'm still waiting for my question: who told haye to not talk to the press?? if nobody, why wouldn't he defend himself? i see only one answer to that...
and Big WTF for all who defend him after all...

I think it would :deal and would be great but he has already had the chance to maken it happen once and has chosen to go another route, That and if he is planning on retiring in a year why is he taking so much time between fights.

thompson fought cruiser all his life...
If you have seen any of his fights you will realise why he has such a reputation for having a granite chin.

Mock ill grant you was a blown up super middlieweight BUT haye finnished the job.

The fact hes never been KO'D proves he has a fairly good chin. Not briliant but hes No amir khan thats for sure!

I think he's squandered a fight with Vitali now. Vitali will fight Valuev and maybe retire afterwards, I think he should anyway

He wasn't a cruiser his whole life he did fight a majority of it at cruiser .. the fact that his weight fluctuated from the high 160's to the mid 190's shows his lack of dedication to training and that he was well above the division he should of been fighting in. He did have an iron jaw :deal , Haye's Chin isnt china but its still scary that Someone like mock who didn't have much power at middleweight could get him in serious trouble, I think Haye at heavy knows his chin is a serious liability and is why he fought so tentative against valuev,.
