I been following fif for a while, And I dont know exactly how he is thinking, but I do know that he overrates himself as a business man, he is a casual fan, and he must be doing this because he thinks its easy...Combine all that together, and u will see that fighters like Gamboa need to be with some veterans, not someone like fifty...I saw an interview where they asked him who is favorite fighter was, and the only name he could think of was Gamboa, simply because he met him in Floyd's gym.

One thing is for sure is Gamboa needs to step up an get his ass in gear. Hes not getting any younger. When i think of him i wonder if hes even a fighter anymore or trying to be a matinee idol.

I understand your concern over the careers of these fighters.

But for you to automatically assume the 50 has no business sense? And to automatically assume that he knows nothing about the sport? You make a lot of unfounded assumptions about a man you don't really know a lot about. (I assume  )

Im still not digging it...Im not digging ANYONE like Gamboa signing to a NEW company, SPECIALLY ran by fifty. Promoters come and go, and struggle each and everyday. Its HARD to promote as I stated earlier. Fighters like Gamboa need to be with professional veterans. Im not here to rag on Fif, Im just here to worry about the fighters, and these arent two average fighters he is about to tie in contracts. Im honestly scared and irrate, that this know-it-all, know-nothing, just decides to jump up and be a promoter all of a sudden. My concern is souly for the fighters.

50 has hella money. This is pretty cool. He's smarter than people give him credit for (seriously) and has smart people around him like Haymon. Let's see what happens

He "must be doing it because he thinks it's easy"?????

Again, you can't simply make statements like this and be taken as anything other than a jealous hater. You haven't been privy to a single of his upcoming plans involving these fighters, so it would really be safe to let things play out before rushing to judgement.

I don't know what will happen, but I do know that he could bring a lot of mainstream notoriety to the sport amongst younger people that very few people can come close to.

    Let's see what happens first.

I been watching fif's career...he is what u call a LUCKY businessman. He was hot when he first came out, and its easy to be a success in other ventures, when ur hot, and ur music is playing, cuz everyone will buy whatever u put out. He has since fallen from grace, and he hasnt been on the radar in quite some time. He got lucky with the 200mill movie deal, but when they gave him the contract, they didnt think he would make horrible movies like this [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnYML9IXqJc[/ame] His videogame failed miserably, becaue the moron didnt even promote it on tv commercials. He only promoted it on his popular website, thinking that random hip hop fans who blog, where going to buy it. Video games normally sell about 50mill in one weekend in some cases, when first released. the game sold 30thousand if Im not mistaken, less than Rick Ross' album. Fifty's business sense is a facade I been watching the guy for yrs.

How, he doesnt even have any mainstream appeal anymore, and he doesnt have a fanbase. Have u been watching his career? The last time I saw him on tv, was 24/7 cuz he uses Floyd's fame to jock-ride. The guy's albums dont sell, and no one downloads his free mixtapes, cuz ever since he blew up, he kind of started buying into his own hype. He used to say, that he could rap on wack beats, and still sell music. This is the reason his albums started flopping, because u have to be dedicated to whatever u do. U have to make the best music, if u wanna be a musician. Fifty is not even famous anymore really, and Im not a hater, but u do some bullshiet like this, and sign two TOP fighters like this, tie them up in contract, I would want to sniper yo azz dead, I dont play about this boxing shiet, and the guy is a moron. Im getting mad just thinking about it.

    Watching or stalking?

Because it seems as though you take every chance you can get to criticize his every move. I'm not saying he hasn't failed at something, but the fact remains he still has a name, and people recognize him. He has a decent shot to bring more fans into the sport.

Because from where I sit, there are very few people around who could name a fighter other than Pac and Floyd. It's not like he's going to turn people's attention away.

Promoting is HARD, a fighter like Gamboa needs to be with veterans so he can get back on track. I cant even imagine REAL promoters wanting to do business with this foolishness. All I can do is pray.

He has no attention, cuz he doesnt have a fanbase. I get what ur saying, its cool for outsiders to come in, cool yea whatever, but do it with some other fighters, dont tie up Gamboa in a contract, Im not feeling it.

I am not saying they can do what Oscar and Dick can do. I think you are severely underrating PBF and his business savvy. Oscar has done great for himself but PBF has totally revolutionized the way the industry worked. He gets the lionshare of the money for the fights he is in. Oscar only managed that at the very, very tail end of his career.

Fifity has money and fame, and a lot of business sense. He might not have the formal skills of Dick but he has been around the business world enought to have credibility (something you or I really do not have). I have worked for myself for years and have worked for and with successful business people and like I said most of them do not have a formal education.

I think you have everything twisted, this can be nothing but a positive for the sport, OUR sport which is battle the upstart MMA and Wrastlin for market-share.

As for Dirrell and Gamboa, 50 will be the face of the company and he will put people who know the sport around him (just like dick).

Get mad. Refuse to support anything he does. It really doesn't matter in the end. You won't change his mind, and you won't change anyone else's mind about supporting his events.

You act as if you know everything there is to know about the sport, and no one else can learn about it.

I can't take this guy seriously.

You think he won't have management, HR, promotion and marketing professionals working for him? Not to mention specialists in every likely field necessary for a boxing promotion company to function.

    Obvious hater is obvious.

You sound like a scorned female.
