Yes it was all very odd.

I asked this question in another thread.

What benefits would Manny have gained with a 14 day cut off, had he been taking something?

He normally has an 8 week camp.

So he was happy to be tested at anytime for around 6 weeks. So lets assume he was planning to juice. For the first 6 weeks, he couldn't have took anything, because of the testing.

Lets suppose that as soon as the 6 weeks is up, he's got a free 2 week window to do what he wants. Now if he was willing to have a test straight after the fight, he couldn't really have taken anything in the last week of his camp. So hypothetically he could only have took something in week 7.

    1. How would taking something for 1 week out of 8 benefit him?

    2. How would it benefit him on fight night, if on fight night he hadn't got anything in his system?

I don't know anything about steroids etc?

Maybe you could enlighten me, I know you have great knowledge.

The whole cut off point doesn't make an ounce of sense to me.

Do you think Manny was definitely taking something?

Again, what benefits would he have gained? A psychological one etc?

Well, Lance Armstrong was juicing the day of his races so apparently it's possible.

I'm not a PED expert at all and no I actually don't think Pac was juicing or whatever he just finally stopped cutting so much weight (he was gaining 14 lbs back overnight for weigh ins at the lower weights)

I just think Arum has sour grapes and a very poor relationship with mayweather and GBP, that much is VERY clear, thus never allowing for the fight to happen.

    Hi mate!

I respect you too mate, you know your stuff. I enjoy reading your posts.

I do accept that they all should take responsibility, and again, I'm not a big fan of Manny's.

Now if I have got any of the following info wrong, then please correct me my friend. Again I respect your great boxing knowledge.

As far as I know, late 2011 and early in 2012, Floyd was giving various interviews to journalists, saying that he couldn't give Manny 50-50, and explaining why.

Then out of the blue, he apparently gave in, and told Manny he could in fact have 50-50. I believe that was last January? There wasn't much info to go with it, but it was on various websites where Floyd had offered it him either via phone or online.

I believe that Manny then said, he'd take the 50-50 if there was a guarantee. I read that recently on another thread. Now again, I'd have to check, but I'm certain this offer was made in January of last year.

The confusion is this, two months later in March, Floyd then gives more interviews again explaining why he can't give Manny 50-50. He then gives interviews in April saying the same thing.

Then in Oct of last year, he gave an interview to F-Hype, stating that he wasn't willing to give Manny the 55-45 (in Floyd's favour) deal that he wanted.

So what the ****'s going on? Ha!

I can remember hearing about Floyd offering the 50-50, but again, they were no specific details given, then it went quiet, and then it appeared that it wasn't on the table after all.

    The whole thing's a joke.

A fight in 2009 would have been great. They could even have had two fights.

I respect your opinion mate. But I don't believe that Marquez and the other fighters who've fought Manny would have been happy to do so, had they shared Floyd's opinion.

Thanks a lot for your reply mate!

It's a great shame the fight never got made.

How did Lance pass all of those tests that he had over the years?

Were the guys testing him corrupt?

Or was he taking things that weren't detectable?

    Thanks!

He was part of an underground scheme I guess, he was one of the ring leaders. It was actually an amazing interview, they were juicing up right inside tents right before the races!

Here is the interview if you're interested.

I agreed with pretty much everything 50 cent said. He was very honest with his thoughts. At the end of the day all he said was that Floyd in his opinion would of beaten Pacquiao but at the end of the day Floyd turned down a $100 million fight. You just don't turn down that sort of money without people believing you were ducking. Now my opinion is the same. I believe floyd would of won, but I still think he ducked the fight because he didn't accept such a great payday. As they say, action speaks louder than words.
