Some of these are very strange. Both for the fights and the results.

I read the title and I thought it was more along the lines of, "50 Greatest Scheduled Fights We Ended Up Missing Out On." That kind of thing really interests me. Like, what would have happened if:
    - Tyson and Holyfield would've met in 1991?
    - Tyson and Ruddock would've met in late 1989?
    - Ali and Liston would've rematched in late 1964?
    - Foreman and Bonavena would've met in early 1975?

    ... just to name four.

I've always wanted to see Marvin Johnson vs Yvon Durrele. That'd be one helluva fight. Kelley vs Chacon too.
Chacon vs Saldivar was the one which caused my comment. But Lopez vs Wilde, Charles vs Jones, Frazier vs Marciano, Fullmer vs Toney and Tunney vs Johnson are stupid picks.

I'd think that Frazier vs Marciano would be a shoe in.

I prefer to think about matches that could have happened as well, like:
    Walcott vs. Moore
    Patterson vs. Williams
    Paret vs. Carter
    Ali vs. Machen
    Foreman vs. Ellis
    Frazier vs. Norton
    Frazier vs. Shavers
    Norton vs. Spinks
    Duran vs. Mugabi
    Hagler vs. Barkley
    Foreman vs. Mercer
    etc.

I remember this edition. Pure tripe a lot of it. Olivares in a fantasy match at featherweight while Zarate-Olivares is a dream match but they put Zarate in with Chandler, an easy fight. Jofre-Hamed and I’m convinced the writer (Gareth Harris a big Hamed fan) has never seen Jofre and used his age as a weakness when Jofre should have been a in a bantam fight and yet at 37 and up accomplished far more than Hamed at 126 anyway. He laughably picks Hamed to win. Probably just saw the match and rather than analyze just said “Hamed wins because I like him”

That Hernia Bug got Ali on Nov 13 1964, cancelling their Nov 16 1964 rematch in Boston.

Yep. Too bad we missed it. All the talk, of course, was that Liston was really prepared for the November rematch.
