I had the pleasure of ****ing over one of his movie productions. I got called for an interview for 'Gun' in GR about 18 months ago. In my 15 years of interviewing for films, I've never fled the interview like I did on this one. The 'Dragon Lady' as I referred too her after that, loud as hell, so ugly and fat, was the production manager, in control of the rates. I get led in and sat down while she's spitting venom at someone on the phone, I'm already disappointed because I have a feeling this is not going to be good. She slams the phone down and barely even looking at me and still loud is like: 'What do you do' I tell her, 'Whats your rate' I tell her my average rate. 'We are not paying that' 'We don't have too, we will pay you this' (1/3 the rate) I say, there is only one other guy in Michigan and he won't be working for that just like I can't and won't.' She says ' we may just be bringing someone in, in that case ' Them are fighting words to me, I laugh at her and respond 'bringing someone in for that rate, yeah' I get up out of my seat, done with the interview. Apparently not understanding she says 'How much for your gear'(to rent) I kinda laugh and give her an average price. I say thanks on my way out the door. I get called 4 weeks later by Dragon Lady. She has a different tone in her voice. 'Can you be here today, like in an hour' I am 6 hours away not including loading all my stuff. 'No, I can't' I say. She explains that she has 300 extra's and 50 cent there for the big party scene and they absolutely need me and my gear there. I cut her off and tell her 'You should have planned better, it's not my problem' after a few moments of silence I say 'bye' and hang up without hearing anything. I hear it through the technician grapevine a few weeks later that Dragon Lady got fired that same weekend. I've never seen a shoddier production in my 15 years and I've seen some garbage. Anyway I wanted the job as I always do but when it devolved to thug level **** I'm glad I got my shots in . . . and was able to teach a lesson. :bbb

to all the people who think 50 cent will be a force in boxing promotion, guess what! de la hoya made every penny of that through boxing , 50 cent has made none of his fortune through boxing so in this sense his money counts for ****

Oscar already beat Shaquille O'Neil. Compared to Shaq, 50 Cent is a midget ;-)

It's true 50 does have a significant size advantage - but he's an ordinary body-builder (with a little boxing experience) up against a 6 time world champ.:bbb

DLH's net worth would include massive proceeds from his cash cow Floyd Mayweather Jr. who apparently is now not working with him.

Boxing is every bit as corrupt as the music industry. 50 will fit in fine.

But yeah he may not be but it is very close, take into account that a lot of DLH's money is tied up in boxing, also take into account 50 will almost certainly be going into business with Floyd and possibly others and I think he'll be ok

As long as his label/actions aren't an embarrasment to the sport I'm cool with it

I can see him getting practically all the Al Haymon fighters

Golden Boy promotions get peanuts from promoting Floyd - as Leonard Ellerbe said they just give them a flat fee for doing the logistics side of the promotion that's why Floyd profits so many millions from his fights, you think he lets Oscar get millions from his fights.. for what?

Oscar is one of the biggest cash cows in the sport he made $52 million from fighting Mayweather. Him and Schafaer have got a good business model and running a successful company their payouts are much more cautious to the boxers which allow them to profit i.e paying guys like Broner $300k to defend his title, while guys like Floyd was getting $2 million for being a challenger at 135 on regular HBO with Top Rank.. and at that time he coudn't even draw much of a crowd like 3-4k people.

50 is probably going to end up wasting alot of money paying Gamboa millions when he isn't even a draw. Considering Gamboa turned down $1.2 million to face Rios at 135, and how bad Rios looked in his last fight that would of been easy money but instead Floyd and 50 been bullshitting him and making big promises which made him leave Top Rank, I bet they won't deliver after the first fight when they realise their loosing money and it will be back to $250k purses for Gamboa.
