Nah he tried and failed when he was younger. They were treating him like a real prospect back then. Touted to be the great white hope etc etc. He couldn't cut the mustard. All you have to do is watch one of his kickboxing matches. He has the worst defense around. Tries to duck/block every punch but ends up blocking with his face.

 

Props to him for doing what he do at his age.. but he's a horrible boxer.
