Ok I am one of the Wilder detractors. Having said that, Ortiz is a solid challenge and the first "real" opponent Deontay had since winning the WBC strap vs. Stiverne. I favor Wilder here to win an UD as he will fight off his backfoot and not take any risks. Ortiz is too slow and plodding to come after him and land clean shots.

People better consider Ortiz a real challenge. Jennings is a better name than anyone on Wilders resume.

I give Wilder credit for stepping up to fight Ortiz. Its still laughable its taken him 40 fights, aged 32 to do it. He is still an absolute muppet and will get starched by AJ (not over looking Parker).

Its about time he fought a live bo ... barely living body.

I don't recall Ortiz's alleged age being brought up so much when he was with Matchroom and we thought Joshua was ducking him. Now he's fighting Wilder the dude has aged two decades lol. I'm still picking him to KO Wilder

Holyfield had a bum ticker and was pushing 40 when he fought Lewis.

    Ortiz is 38.

it's like preparing excuses for the future, if Wilder wins Ortiz, I think that themes about Ortiz's age will appear many times. But for me, Ortiz is Wilder's first worthy opponent, and if Wilder wins, his resume will improve.

All I know is that there is no way on Earth, Luis Ortiz is a year younger
than I am. No way in Hell. Lmaooooooo

That being said, advanced age or not Ortiz is far and away the
best fighter Wilder has faced, indeed Ortiz is a legit top 5 HW. A win over Ortiz is IMHO a better
win than anything Parker or Joshua has (I include Joshua's win over Wlad because Wlad had already been
effectively retired by Fury) and Ortiz still an active guy even being older. This is a 50/50 fight to me, I thought for
the longest amount of time Ortiz was a favorite, but Wilder's movement
(and we now know he can move for an entire fight), may hinder Ortiz's heavy foot style
    and ability to win.
