HAHA! That was just plain wrong! Did anyone else notice the announcer screwed up when announcing Adams? He called him Brandon "The Hammer" Adams. His real knickname is "The Cannon". (i suspect the knucklehead announcer was thinking about Erickson Lubin who was also on the card that night. Knickname: The Hammer)... Adams sure noticed it
That "knucklehead announcer," as you called him, was Jimmy Lennon jr Probably the best announcer in boxing ever. Ive known him for years at the fights & that is the first time I have ever heard him make a mistake. He visits every fighter on the card to ensure he pronounces their name correctly& has their records right. Surely a man is allowed to make one mistake in his career
Didn’t really matter though. Adams showed in that fight he was neither a hammer or a cannon. More like a rolled up newspaper.
