I suppose it really depends on what your criteria for choosing is. While I believe that a prime Tyson pretty much beats any fighter, his peak was just too short for him to be considered highest in the list. Added to this he beat less hall of famers than most of the others and he never really came back from adversity. These are the main reasons why i have him down in my list. He is definitely my favourite fighter on the list though.

tyson was more a case of potential greatness...i think the others on the list have better longevity...certainly hopkins and holyfield have...

but you could make a point of a spot-on tyson {circa spinks fight} probably having beaten a peak holyfield and lewis...so i dunno :)

    its a close list...

Are you joking? Obviously we are comparing them pound-for-pound, how the hell can we compare Lennox Lewis and Mike McCallum in a head-to-head match-up?! One was a heavyweight and one was a light-middleweight!

Tyson, the man brought back the Heavyweight division from the dead, and made people watch again.

Tyson was the most talented Heavyweight that ever stepped foot in the ring, in his prime only Ali would of beat him I feel, noones unstoppable, but a prime Tyson was closest to it IMO.
