I couldn't help but feel last night, that the exclusive deal matchroom have with sky just isn't working at all at the moment. Obviously I'm largely a Matchroom supporter I think they have got some good ideas but last nights show and a few in the past have being quite boring.

People were leaving from about the fourth round of the Bellew fight, and with the Mathews Crolla fight being a largely tactical affair a lot of people around me were disappointed. Credit to the fighters as always they did what they had to do to attempt to get the W but when we're only allowed to see boxing every 4-6 weeks from a channel we pay for it should make up for the five weeks of crown green and formula one. It doesn't at all.

I'm not a bunny fan and the ultimate nightmare scenario would be him occupying hearns spot so don't think I'm suggesting that but things need to change. Watching a world class amateur punch lumps out of some foreign dude who we've never heard of is never fun whether his record is 6-2 or 6-224. They will be far more interesting when they step up to the UK top ten but for now there is little intrigue especially as they've all being built on this point scoring style. The only up and comer who is fun to watch at this level is Yafai.

Matchroom/ sky would be better served using the cash saved by not showing any boxing for 4 weeks to bring over foreign talent like deontay wilder or bringing ex champs over to fight our guys (like evatt vs junior jones).

The irony of it all is crap business acumen allowed Matchroom to get this mantle. Bunny didn't know how to speak to the fans or deal with things when critisized. Didn't know when to change with the times.

But at the same time sky and matchroom are now keeping Allegedly channel and bunny afloat by not providing the fans with anywhere near the volume or quality they should be. Prizefighter has done its course IMO and I'd urge anyone who reads this from Sky or Matchroom to reassess things because last night was dissapointing.

You can deal with a disappointing show when there's another one the week after but we might not see any decent boxing again on sky for 4-6 weeks. So either stick more shows on or improve the entertainment value of the shows you do put on. Learn where bunny went wrong and continually evolve.

I thought last night's show was very good until about round 4 of the Bellew fight. Undercard was good and I was pleased with the red button.

Absolutely not mate they should go for it. But likewise matchroom should change it before people vote with their feet. I suppose while its still selling out they will keep running it but they are alienating a lot of people with it IMO

got no problem with this card at all the two main fights were 50/50s in a packed arena compare this to the last two barker shows it was a vast improvement.

at the end of the day the up and coming fighters have gotta start somewhere where else are they guna do it cant be blaming matchroom or sky for giving young pros learning fights

people were leavin probably to make sure they got last trains or whatever and the fact loads of tickets were sold by the undercard once they had seen there fella they left. the few hundred mancs will av left after crollas fight and they were rightly or wrongly the cataylst for the atmosphere so after it will have gone flat

if it wasnt for virtually every notable scouser on the card barring cilla n tarby the place would have been half empty not sure bringin over more expensive foreign talent for the undercard is guna sell more tickets or get more viewers or guarantee more entertainment.

entertainment is brought by well matched competative fights

    Matchroom clearly can't win.

For years people have complained about one sided fights.

A card is headlined by two extremely close fights with well matched fighters that end in draws and people criticise that as well.

Disagree, last nigh was a card everyone was looking forward to,the Matthews-Crolla fight was entertaining, the Bellew fight was poor because of a clash of styles. They need to cut down on Prizefighter a bit and get more dates but with the signing of Burns and Groves i am positive about the future, what we will be gettting will be much better then the old FFN format of one live fight and then some taped stuff, some people have short memorys.I for one enjoyed the boxing last night and loved the red button but also now realize that Bellew will never be World class.

Most of the people who left early left because the bars got shut after it kicked off with mancs and scousers in the crolla fight plus all crolla's fans ****ed off as soon as his fight was over.

In 12 months from now will be time to judge how they are doing,i would say they are making the right moves for the most part and will get better markes out of ten for me for the first 6 months would be 6/10.They need to do less Prizefighters 4 a year is fine and get to around 30 dates so the ocationaly weak card doesn`t have as much impact.
I thought last nights card might be let down for a few but they should of realized that the Bellew fight could be very tactical and i think Bellew will fight son the undercard for a fight or two.I enjoyed the Crolla-Matthew fight,a close fight which could of gone either way and was intriging from the startIt`s always a shame to see a crowd leave early after seeing the fight they came for and it can hurt the atmosphere.

perhaps there just isnt the quality out there. this wasnt a bad card on paper, but the headline did seem like a clash of styles. i though crolla v mathews was excellent though.
