60/50 split for Floyd might make the fight happen. Interesting article.

I just read this article and sounds like a great idea.

    Floyd wants 60%.

    Pac wants 50%.

    They can both have it.

    How?

First, a 50/50 split is made. Then that 10% will be paid by Bob Arum and HBO to Floyd. Bob Arum did something similar for Ricky Hatton when Ricky wanted more money for the Pacquiao fight.

60% for Floyd. 50% for Pacquiao. Both are happy. The fight gets made. I like it.

I think it should be 80/70 for Pac.

    That'll be a 60/40 then

Maths clearly not your, or their, strong point.

Why not just make it 100/100 then everybodys happy

    Technically, but not practically.

They split the purse then a guy throws a bonus on the back end. The resulting math ends up 50/50 and a side deal of one guy to get a 10% bonus.

You clearly don't understand what's going on do you? Arum and HBO pays Floyd 10% more out of their own pockets to make it the equivalent of Floyd getting 60%.

That would make the PPV price for this fight at $200. Guess where that money Floyd and Pac gets comes from? From fans like us buying PPV.

Nice how you completely gloss over the fact that Pac broke off the first negotiations over the same offer he is begging for now, then had a fight that did LOUSY numbers, and is now back expecting the same terms.

Silly, the whole thing. I'm so sick of hearing about both fighters, and especially this fight.

They should play the Mystery Purse game. The game goes as follows:

There are 10 hidden containers, and each container has a percentage on it: 10%, 20%, etc..., up to 100%. Each fighter selects one container, and that will be the split they get from the purse. LMAO if they select 100% and 90%, and bigger LMAO if they select 10% and 20%.

And where do you think Arum is getting this mythical 10% from? thats right out of Pacquiao's 50%

Call it 60/40 and make sure you're in class on time again tomorrow :smooch

Floyd should take 50/50 only if Manny gives him his FOTD award in front of Larry Merchant in the post fight interview after losing.

  14. Math must not be your strong point either Wig! That would be a 50/50 split, with a "bonus" for Floyd to make it 60% in his favor.

  15. Once Pac pays Arum his fee, it's up to Arum how he spends it.

If he wasnts to spend it on Floyd, that's up to him. Nothing to do with Pac.

So no, it will not come directly out of Pac's 50%.
