what essentially happens is that Bob Arum just takes a personal smaller cut from Manny Pacquiao's portion and gives the difference of what he would have made to Mayweather. But considering Bob arum is one greedy ass mother****er who hates Mayweathe, I have a hard time believing this happens.

I think it was PAC who got paid a few extra millions by Arum in the Hatton fight.

If you are a performance results oriented guy then PAC-Hatton fight is a good example to point out. PAC asked for the bigger share and he justified it with his great performance over Hatton. Hatton asked for an even share but not able to justify it with that sloppy performance that many considered as a poor dumb performance.

It's the same with Floyd. He's been paid in tens of millions of dollars but most of his performance were not that satisfying compared to Pacquiao's. Yes Floyd did a very good performance dominating his opponents but people think that he could have done more instead of cruising to a boring UD win.

With Pacquiao, people were satisfied in many of his fights since even if he's way ahead in the scorecards, he's still looking to stop his opponents. PAC won't give his opponents room to breath.

Performance wise, Pacquiao deserves a slightly bigger money than Floyd IMO but I know that purse is based more on revenue and earnings.

Yes, but the point of this thread is just give both fighters the money they are asking for so the fight gets made. Unless another demand is made by Floyd, which wouldn't surprise me, then were all back to square one.

Yeah, I say it's up to the promoters/HBO to settle the purse requirement of each boxer. Just make the fight happen.

Pac/Cotto sold 1.2m ppv while Floyd/Shane sold 1.4m ppv(their highest since deLaHoya fight). The difference is 200k in favor of Floyd, right?

    best solution:

The first 1.2m ppv they split it 50/50.
the next 200k ppv they split 60/40 in favor of Floyd.
    ______
    =1.4m ppv

the 1.4m ppv and above they split it 50/50.:good
