Sometimes, fights are close but clear. I'd hesitate to call this a close but clear win for Kovalev, though I do have him winning on both of my scorings. There are enough swing rounds to nitpick.

    Your scorecard, Osca... Gannicus?

    Allan Fox (Boxingnews24): 117-110 Kovalev

After I saw that name I stopped reading.

You'd have to be leaning to give Ward rounds to even consider having this fight anyw
    here near close.
I watched the Colonel Sheridan broadcast, that broadcast scored for Kovalev, but they were asking permission from one another to score a round for Ward whenever it was even semi-close.
"I think Ward may have taken that one." LOL!

I'm not mad at people saying Kovalev won, but seriously this list has so many jokes. Like Lesbian Fisher, Crater Face Kim, and Allan Fox. We all know these 3 would never give Ward a fair shake.

I thought Kovalev was a clear winner but I really was in the majority with that poll if it is true?

Traditonally, close rounds went to the champion. This time, the judges gave them to Ward.

It is not contrversial as all 3 judges were consistent. If it was lopsided or there was a huge and evident bias from one judge etc (like CJ Ross with Canelo-FMJ for instance) then you can claim robbery but this is not the case.

Ward got the benefit of the doubt. Kovalev faded in Rounds 7-11 and that is where Ward nicked it. I gave round 12 to Kovalev on his aggression but I still had it 115-113 to Ward.

Scoring is subjective. A rematch will remove all doubts.

you also have to factor in that the guys who said ward won were almost all american

also paul smith said ward won 116-113 which is hilarious, but then against paul smith will probably come out now and say he's better than kovalev because he did better against ward than him

you can discredit most that said ward won

It would depend on the fight. If one fighter won clearly by shut out, then I cant see why anybody would have a problem with it.
You are making comments but not explaining

Pretty much how I figured. You can add Larry Merchant and Roy Jones to the Kovalev ledger.
You have to give every benefit of the doubt to Ward to get him to the 7 rounds he needed. The fact all 3 judges did just that is shady to say least.
