half these guys DKSAB will judge a round on previous rounds activity or performance will retrospectively evaluate their card to make sure their guy wins and is in accordance to compubox and probably judge fights by crowd reaction WARD had this fight. I gave Kov the firsty 4, so he was 5-0 up after four rounds. Then Ward won the rest of the rounds, with maybe an argument round 10 could go to Kovalev
May did NOT box Pacs ears off Even though juiced to the gills & the fact the NSAC, USADA & Vegas boxing officials gave May every legal & illegal advantage possible he BARELY squeaked a win. All those conspirators should be banned from boxing
The 10th round is where the FIX HAPPENED. Kovalev out lands ward by 5 punches, and all three judges give that round to Ward. For shame, if Kovalev gets that round, he does NOT lose the fight.
This content is protected Why do a lot of people hate scoring rounds even, if i think a round is even i score it even so most these media guys score close rounds for who they prefer beforehand.
I'm not sure the fix was completely in. Kathy Duva says she believes that the judges were influenced toward Ward because of the crowd. I think that may have had a large part in what happened with the scoring. Barring that interpretation, then yes I might agree the fix was in. Ward won by just enough to take the title away from Kovalev. The only "closer" result that could have occurred for the title to change hands would have been a split decision or majority decision for Ward. So we were literally 1 point away from the minimum needed to get the belt out of Kovalev's hands and into Ward's hands.
the judges for the fight glen trowbridge score Floyd maidana 1 117-111 for floyd a fight where most people thought maidana won i had it 7 to 5 kovalev the crowd was pro Ward and they were booing the decision
Ouch on Trowbridge. I had it more like 8-4 or 9-3 Kovalev. But I'll need to watch it again to verify my score. The crowd was going crazy for Ward even when Ward wasn't doing anything. I recall in the 9th round Kovalev slipped between the ropes while stepping back, and the crowd went nuts. But Ward had nothing to do with Kovalev getting between the ropes. If I am Duva, I try everything I can to get the rematch out of the USA. Judges can be affected by crowds, and another pro-Ward crowd could hurt Kovalev's chances in a rematch, I think.
A lot of people don't like scoring rounds as even because it leads to a lot more draws than should be reasonable in sports.
